This was a nice change from all the boar hunting videos I just watched, lol. Nice job

People have a distorted notion that boars are offensive - it's not true, wild boar attacks only when sow protects young piglets, or can not miss because it is wounded or has concluded an escape. When boar can not miss, sets out to attack you to do a route and runs away. It shall not return to attack again.
@divinemoments534410 жыл бұрын
Exactly, like most wild animals boars are most likely to avoid potential danger than to confront it.

I have two pet boars I rescued after poachers killed their mother...their about the size of the ones pictured here. From this particular scenario...I'll assume these two boars are likely domesticated due to the fact that they showed no agression towards the camera man during the filming or to the dog while in the snow. they likely tollerate the dog and on occassion develope some kind of attitude towards him when warranted. Or the two boars may possibly resident/neighborhood pets?..

Like the wild boars I saw in Japan. No one hunts them, so they lie around on warm rocks by the river and people buy snacks for them. The Japanese govt posted danger signs, but people don’t believe the signs cause the boars are lying around eating chips and wagging tails

Thats not a genuine tosa, a tosa will likely kill a wild boar or die trying, a tosa is a beast and he isnt scared of any wild animal, he will die fighting

@goodmausstevens871810 жыл бұрын
I would, and will have to respectfully disagree. There is an official breed standard held by professional breeders. Tosa are not mixed breeds, though this dog clearly is a mix.
@lisaallan761610 жыл бұрын
That is what I am saying mixed breeds are Tosa Inu dogs. I got it on KZbin and also the internet says the same thing lol
@goodmausstevens871810 жыл бұрын
Tosa are distinctly not mixes. I'm sure their breeders would argue the point as well.
@TheButcherKhan11 жыл бұрын
Firstly that's not a full breed Tosa Inu. Secondly they are tame hand reared boars that's why they didn't rip the camera man up. Most likely the dog asserted its dominance over the TAME boars when they were small. Still a good video though.

No hunting dog that one =) Well wild boars are a hard animal to hunt, it's built in to dogs to be casious of them, scared even. Even the boarhuntig breeds usally has to start from a Young age not to be scared of them, otherwise they are usally not petdog materials =)

I think this demonstrates well the Tosa's quiet and stable temperament, the title is not vs Wild Boars. If the Japanese only knew about the Malamute instead of the Shikoku, the Newfoundland instead of the St Bernard, the Rottweiler instead of the Great Dane, the Pit Bull instead of the Bull Terrier and the Dogue de Bordeaux instead of the English Mastiff, there would have been an even better Tosa........or maybe the Canadians will do it right lol. The Tosa ended up looking like a Bordeaux with a longer muzzle anyway.

aha, still what) can't be tamed a boar
@chefdan8710 жыл бұрын
Вещий Олег Any animal can be tamed from birth. Even lions and grizzly bears, it takes generations to tame more and more risk though. Instincts have to be tamed as well and that takes longer.
@ВещийОлег-к9ч10 жыл бұрын
chefdan87 не могу согласиться, дикое животное это дикое, иногда бывают исключения, когда волков приручает один человек и тд, но не более
@ВещийОлег-к9ч10 жыл бұрын
chefdan87 I can't agree, a wild animal this wild, sometimes there are exceptions when wolves are tamed by one person etc, but no more
@chefdan8710 жыл бұрын
Вещий Олег Think about it man. All domesticated dogs genes can be tracked back to wolves. House cats used to be wild, horses, pigs, chickens, turkeys, everything we consider domesticated was once wild. Anything can be tamed and domesticated especially from birth. Its the natural instincts of aggression in animals like wolves, bears and boars that will take the longest to tame but with persistence and time it can be done. Thank you for a adult conversation that hasn't degraded into the typical youtube argument of making inappropriate remarks.

Man, looks like you have a wild boar problem. Wild boar just walking through people's backyards and walking around people like it's no big deal. Not good. I hear wild boar do a lot of damage to property, farmland, and are even dangerous for people and pets. If you or people in your area ever need to start hunting them (which it seems like they do now), then they should get an American Pitbull. You want to talk about brave dog, you have not seen anything until you have seen an American Pitbull in action. Tosas are not dogs known to be good at or popular choices for wild boar hunting. But the American Pitbull is one of the top dogs for stuff like this to hunt, take on, and battle large animals in combat sports. There's a reason why people that match dogs against each other and against other large animals like bulls, bears, and wild boar to do battle choose the American Pitbull and why the American Pitbull is the most famous, highest prized, most popular, and most successful canine gladiator of all time that dominates the professional and legit sport of dog combat able to do more, go on for longer, and push itself further than any other breed. American Pitbulls were bred as farm dogs that would help and protect farmers from livestock, especially the bulls. If a bull or whatever tried to attack the farmer, the American Pitbull would take it on and get it under control. I have even seen Pitbulls take on horses by themselves.
@Game_Source9 жыл бұрын
American Pitbulls dominate in strength and athletic sports like weight pulling. I have seen American Pitbulls pull over 12,000 pounds - www.yourepeat.com/watch/?v=WtA5XlHWZRg There are videos of Pitbulls taking on horses one on one and making the horse run for the hills - www.yourepeat.com/watch/?v=9Xk_NcbBmPY For more info on the American Pitbull breed - www.dailymotion.com/video/xaf5xb_pit-bull-dog-breed-explained_animals
