Our great pry mix was left on an apartment porch or locked in a crate for the first 3 years of his life. His nails had grown through the pads of his paws. Unfortunately he also was hit by a car a few days after we bought him home, luckily he survived. Since then he's been on gabapentin for the nerve pain in his paws and hips. I put him on milk thistle to try to help keep his liver healthy and cranberry for his kidneys. We've had him for 3 years now, he eats only a homemade diet and treats. His blood work is perfect. I have learned so much from watching your videos. I can never thank you enough.

My 12 year old Minpinzu has had tracheal collapse since a puppy. The vets all said that it is normal for the smaller breeds. He didn't start having real problems until a couple years ago. I started him on your CBD oil and it really helps him. The original reason I started him on it is because he suddenly developed anxiety all the time. He's fine now as long as he takes the CBD oil. He is healthy and activity has greatly improved since I started using your ultimate canine supplement several years! He's healthy and acts like a puppy. Thanks for all that you do for our fur babies!

Does he cough less with CBD? My little guy has had tracheal collapse since he was a puppy as well. He's a chihuahua and only six now and his coughing has significantly increased. I got him slippery elm today to mix with manuka honey (which I've been having a hard time getting him to take) and mixed it with some peanut butter and it has seemed to offer some relief so far. So grateful for Dr. Andrew Jones' videos. I've been thinking of getting him some CBD oil but wasn't sure if it would just make him tired or actually offer him some extra relief. If so, I'll get some for him asap. It's so very hard seeing them struggle...

It's true, although it may not be you and me in particular. 9 times out of 10 it's the puppy mill or back yard breeders fault for producing genetically weak animals. When we rescue dogs and cats we know nothing about their health background or the parent animals that produced them. Then the heartache comes and vet bills galore. I have rescued about thirty dogs and cats in the last three decades and most of them developed heart disease and one had a collapsing trachea. One I have now is immune compromised horrifically. Om-Goodness!... Our dog started honking last summer when we 'briefly' ran the a/c ...I found that when I gently massage his salivary glands, (my thumbs positioned upon his 3rd eye)...it quickly helps to relieve my dog's intermittent cough. Five years ago, the vet warned that he'd probably have issues w/ a collapsed trachea as he aged. He's 5 now. Just 3 days ago... A fluid-like bulge emerged on his inner right knee. I thought it was a new cleanser (I'd used it the day prior)... He has allergies..so I'd just trimmed & bathed him. I'm positive was NOT there one day...and suddenly there the next. I tried amoxicillin (4UTI) & Benadryl... But, rather than subsiding it seems it may 'possibly' be spreading. Could this be Liver Disease? He's been eating IAMS & drinking filtered water for 3 years now ...ever since our cat & dog died suddenly of oral cancer. I'm sure I have curcumin... and can purchase the others. Although I have reservations about forking loads of cash over to someone who only wants to make him ''comfortable''. I have pretty limited funds... Of course, they can't give me a ballpark estimate me how expensive tests will run until they see him. I'm figuring... it's the only way to find out though... Before I purchase the proper herbals! 🤔 THAN'X DOC! ...I feel much better now! ... lol 👏👍👍

Why does Ivermectin work on collapsed trachea? I wish I could send you the before & after X-rays of my dog, the difference is amazing. One vet told me he never had a collapsed trachea and it was actually redundant tracheal membrane because the restriction was almost the entire length of his trachea and not just one section. My 13yo jackrussell chihuahua mix has tracheal collapse and heart murmur 4/6. Hes been on vetmedin for 10 months and he coughs more with this med… But lately hes been coughing at night. He is now on antitussives and it does nothing for him. I think it made it worse since he coughs ALL night now. He takes gabapentin at night when the coughing is too much and it works for couple hours. Could the antitussive made the condition worse? X rays showed that his heart was not the cause of the coughing and most likely was the collapsed trachea. But it got worse so fast i wonder if it could be related to the collapsed trachea only? I tried slippery elm and curcumin and honey… honestly I wonder if he will make it to his vet appointment next week. Could you talk about how antitussives work and maybe gabapentin also? We had a chest x-ray of the heart and lungs. Our minpin is coughing and I asked about tracheal collapse. Listening to her heart, the vet said, sounds good. The x-ray revealed a slow growing tumor on the top of her heart and it looks like that is constricting her trachea and he added, blood vessels too. We are giving her Fenben with the hope of the tumor shrinking. He prescribed Hydrocone to keep her comfortable.

My Ryman English Setter has had this since he was a puppy. I diagnosed him with this myself as I have taken him to the vet many times and had x-rays done, they gave me meds for kennel cough, steroids for cough, checked for heart worms, everything but they did not suggest tracheal collapse. I am pretty sure that's what he has. He is 2 years old now. It gets really scary sometimes when he has his attacks, it does sound like a goose honk. It mostly happens when he gets overly excited and is running around jumping, like when we come home. I try to massage his neck to get him to calm down and stop. Im worried one day he will turn blue from not being able to breathe. I did not know about the liver disease correlation. Thank you, I will have to get that checked. Are there any surgical remedies for the tracheal collapse?

For the honey/slippery elm mixture, I'm a little confused. For a 20 lb dog, as an example, you would give this treatment twice a day, so a daily total of 2 tsp honey & 800 mg slippery elm? Or would the daily total just be 1 tsp honey & 400 mg elm?

My grand dog he chokes when he drinks water and when he gets excited, I wonder if this could be what’s going on he’s about to be 15. He’s in great shape can still run plays with toys but he’s choking. Please help🙏🏽

Your dog could potentially have a enlarged heart. This will make them cough. My morkie did the same thing, eventually she would faint, she was 12 when this started. Had to euthanized her because there is no cure for am enlarged heart. Best to get a chest xray to actually diagnosis.

And thats another reason to NEVER use a COLLAR to PULL on them it causes chocking so stop it. If you love them use your common sense for their sakes and use ONLY HARNESSES. Thumbs Up👍

If my dog was already started on prednisone but he has 2 weeks left of it..which I hate…do I wait to start the anti inflammatories? Or can I start them already and it be safe?
