As a dog trainer with over 20 years experience, I think this video portrays DD in a more real and positive light. What makes DD good at what he does is his ability to read dog behavior and translate this to the clients. I understand the current on going controversy being led by someone I shall not name and I do not support that person's actions. At the same time, I can see both pros and cons with both DD and the other I shall not name. I think this video is WAY more informative to the public than some of the other videos. It's clear DD loves what he does and I believe he is truly out to save dogs for clients and to help them have safe and productive lives.

My dog passed away 9 months ago and now all I do is watch dog videos on KZbin. 😔 I do not know how I’ve never heard of you before. You’re amazing and I’m obsessed! I wish I had known about you before, I would’ve come to a class. My dog was never aggressive but the older she got the less she wanted to go out, and the less she went out the more fearful she became of other people…more cowering, peeing, shaking but no biting ever. She was the goodest girl! Her last 2 years of life I only took her to the vet. That’s it. And even that became a struggle! 😔 It was hard for me see her with that kind of anxiety and I hated to put her through it so she got shut-in. I hate myself for allowing that. Her life would’ve been better had she met you.

EXCELLENT VIDEO! PERFECT TIMING for this video release. For all the other dog trainers who say that Dog Daddy doesn't actually train the dog and owner but just scares the dog into doing what he wants on his first and only visit. No, this video says that the owners must follow Dog Daddys rules for the dog to be successful. Theres work that needs to be done. This video shows us that most owners dont take charge of their dog resulting in bad behavior. Dog Daddy shows the owners how to get control of their dog, to be the alpha figure. His tactics work and work well.....This training is making History as its keeping so many dogs alive when they were deemed to be too aggressive and dangerous and needed to be euthanized...Dog Daddy has cracked the code, understands how the dogs brain works and has created a successful training program. It works!

The reason why training these dogs is so hard for normal people is because you have to always know exactly what the dog is thinking and communicate with the distressed animal quickly and effectively. If you can do that you will build trust with them. You don't want to send mixed signals or let them think you aren't in control of the situation or they will begin to feel unsafe and lash out. The Dog Daddy is a savant when it comes to this, it's like he's reading their minds.

Can you think beyond the "saved" automantra of Deoliveira's disciples? Do you think any of these dogs are euthanasia candidates?
@miss_lilyanne Жыл бұрын
@fergie-kx3us Your assumption that saving has anything to do with Euthanasia is narrow minded. Saving a dog from its own behavioral issues can mean life or death in the most barbaric circumstances however, I think for a lot of dog owners Augusto is their last resort. What does that mean? I think they have tried other methods and other trainers and failed. The dog has serious behavioral issues that have become dangerous. Why bash Augusto, clients, and supporters in the comments when they all have the dogs' well-being and future in mind. You are quick to judge but what is your solution for these dogs? (The "throw away dogs" at shelters that have been labeled aggressive and dangerous, behavorial issue dogs in household where there are children, dogs that bite their owner over things that trigger them..)You comment. Thats not going to save these dogs! After they bite a guest in their home what then???
@fergie-kx3us Жыл бұрын
@@miss_lilyanne Yes, I was assuming by "saving dogs" you meant euthanasia as that's what most of his disciples most often refer to, but if that's not what you mean then it's somewhat unclear to me why you would refer to saving a dog meaning "the difference between life and death" (euthanasia?) or that Deoliveiro is "their last resort" (from what? Euthanasia?) I'm sure that many (most?) of Deoliveira's clients and some supporters do have their dogs' best interest at heart but he is showman - an entertainer - and there certainly appears to be a contingent who are taken in by that to the detriment of their dogs' welfare. Or perhaps it's his Friday lottery with the chance to win $500 if they support him? Where I fundamentally differ from Deoliveiro is that his methods involve "showing a fearful dog it has nothing to fear" by over-exposing it to the trigger without a get-out (that's the first thing I would do differently) but what he's actually doing is asserting his dominance over the dog until it gives in for fear of the consequences meted out by the handler. There is no consideration given to addressing the reason behind the behaviour - only suppressing the behaviour through fear of the consequences. Training = teaching, but that teaches the dog nothing but to be afraid of the handler while he's being held on a leash with a prong collar high up on its neck. (Deoliveiro repeatedly asserts prong collars are critical to his methods). You mention the guest in the house. Great example. The dog is not going to be on a leash in the house with a prong collar (unless you're managing the situation, in which case the dog has been taught nothing). What then? Granny or Little Johnny don't have the fear factor that the dominant owner with the leash and prong collar have over the dog so the dog has no reason to fear the consequences of giving in to it's "serious behavioral issues" and the underlying reasons for the issues haven't been addressed. Granny and Little Johnny are fair game...

Just one top tip while I'm here on the basic use of language as taught in your average primary school... @@TeslaNick2That’s an Akita. It’s probably got 50lb on DD and the breed is extremely dominant. It was trying to take charge of DD and bite him. DD uses the leash and his arm to keep the Akita clamped to his side whenever it tries anything. Notice that the action keeps repeating. That’s because as soon as the Akita backs down even slightly the leash is released, and it takes a few goes of it trying to attack DD before the penny drops. That dog is not being choked, or hung, or kicked or any of the other insidious jibes you make to portray DD as something he’s not. It is not hurt in any way despite the fact that it is bigger and stronger than DD and keeps going for him. It’s trying every tactic, wrapping its front legs around DD’s leg and trying to pull him over using force. The fact that it got its muzzle off was alarming as it could now cause serious damage, and it persistently tried to do so. DD used no aggression. He largely used his body to control the dog so neither got hurt. When it went for a bite he used a leash correction to tell the dog not to do that, and reclamped the dog to his side, until it yielded. Eventually it realised DD was doing absolutely nothing aggressive towards it and it acquiesced. I think DD’s skill here is remarkable. That is a huge dog. He held it firmly enough it couldn’t bite despite wanting to keep trying, and took no retaliatory action towards the dog whatsoever. The dog is unhurt. It’s self inflicted discomfort is short lived, and then it has a new way of viewing the world that includes the idea that not everything is trying to hurt it and it’s ok. Only then can rehab training begin in earnest. I cannot see what you apparently see. I think you see DD trying to still a biting dog, and you assume all the violent jerking motions come from DD. You are assuming the dog is in pain. You are assuming it can’t breathe. You’re assuming DD’s intentions and actions are malicious. None of that is true. You have taken snapshot views of DD out of context, make a whole pile of inaccurate assumptions and are literally defaming him. You’re not seeing that this standoff with the dog lasts a blink in time, and then with the dog in a new frame of mind the real work begins with the owners to harness this and keep it present. They work with DD for the next few hours, repeating and repeating until they’ve learnt a new way to communicate with their dog, and the dog feels a whole lot better and the bad behaviour subsides. I honestly cannot fathom why this strategy so enrages some people. It’s sound theory and obviously works. Emotional discomfort is short lived and then hope arrives, and potential to change, and so a new, better path is found. I think I’ve made my views clear. I’m happy to talk, but not to repeated assertions which I have addressed. And my humanity is very much with the dog. A short, sharp stop to bad behaviours and then relief, or months of pussy footing around a confused and dangerous dog with methods that make no difference because they MAKE NO SENSE TO THE DOG. To me it’s obvious which is better, and so I support DD.

@@TeslaNick2I guess all these people are paid actors or just lying so other people will bring their dogs to be abused. Why don’t you attend a session and then give feedback based on what you actually observe for yourself. He does not abuse dogs.

This is an amazing example of flooding, which is a really harmful form of "training". These dogs aren't getting better. They are getting overwhelmed, and as a form of self preservation, they are shutting down and submitting. Every dog in this room is terrified. Obedience doesn't mean the dog feels better.

He truly is excellent. I don’t have aggressive dogs but my puppy thinks he can bully my older one. I’ve been learning more that I need to be a better leader and it’s working great!

I'm proud of the Dog trainer in a cowboy hat. He was very open-minded to learning new and alternative ways to train a dog in addition to his skills. He went there to learn how to handle certain situations from dog daddy. Good job. You can be like dog daddy one day. Expert them and we will be looking forward to his YT channel too like "Amazing reliable dog training applied as per se by Dog Daddy."

Watching some of the people during the walking around there were a couple people that weren’t even paying attention to their dog’s actions while walking around. No wonder they have problems with their dogs behaviors.
