If you're feeling demotivated at the gym maybe exercise outside the gym? Climbing/bouldering, yoga, long-distance walking? Helps breaking it up sometimes!

If you hate cardio don't do it! Find the types of workouts you enjoy and look forward to and do those. No reason to make yourself suffer through a type of working out you hate if you're already fit and have lots of workouts you do like.

I was wondering if you'd consider doing a video/blog post or whatever you see fit, on 'where to start' for a new reader. I've wanted to get more into reading for a while, but I'm not sure where to start and how to identify good books. You obviously have a very good radar for quality books and it would be great to hear your tips. Thank you!
@Thisreadingcorner4 жыл бұрын
Bridget Cecilia I’m clearly not Jess and I hope she answers this! As someone who does rad a good bit though, I will say “quality” is very subjective. Much of what is considered canonical literature is based entirely on where you are and who you ask, and historically rooted in notions of superiority, not actual literary merit. If you like it, then you’ll read more, and that’s the point. There are so many “classics” I’ve never bothered with because they aren’t at all interesting to me and so many books by non-American, non-white, etc. authors that get overlooked

I’d recommend reading some of the Moomin books by Tove Jansson. They’re technically children’s books, but can be read and enjoyed by adults. I love the second one, Comet in Moominland.

Hi Jess :) Love all the book content. As for Stephen King, I recommend reading Mr. Mercedes trilogy before reading The Outsider. It might nit be necessary but I think it will elevate your reading experience when reading The Outsider a lot. Actually, you can only read the first book in that trilogy. There is a character in the trilogy that becomes quite a big character in The Outsider, but we get to know her in the trilogy, so when she appears in The Outsider, you're supposed to know everything about her already, she doesn't get re-introduced (and she's very interesting and special, there's a lot about her that isn't explained in The Outsider, because it is already explained in the trilogy). There's also events of Mr. Mercedes mentioned in The Outsider, not a lot, maybe once or twice, but when it is , you won't know what they're talking about. As for a tv show, there is a tv show for both books (Mr. Mercedes just ended their third and last season), but in this case, you can watch the Outsider without watching Mr. Mercedes. This character is introduced in The Outsider as if we're not meant to know her from before. She is also played by two different actresses so I think we're meant to see them as two different characters. Anyway, the books are connected, the tv shows are not. Good Luck x

Your hair looks great. What you need is a fringe...Also as a fellow glasses wearer those clear ones are way too big for your face. They look like you have put someone elses on or some of those oversized party ones. |You'd suit the frame just in a smaller size,,
