Thank you for uploading a vlog! I’ve missed them a lot. I can’t actually believe how amazing of a job Indie did on your hair! Does she have a secret hairdressing qualification that we don’t know about! I’m getting my hair cut tomorrow for the first time since October and I really can’t wait. Good luck sticking with the TBR, I make very loose “possibility piles” as I tend to be a mood reader but it’s nice to know what books I’ll be reading in the month ahead.

if you think your acne because of the side you’re sleeping on, idk if you already use them, but you could try a silk pillow case😊
@PeeweeM804 жыл бұрын
Just came to say exactly that, silk pillowcase all the way!! I also use that moisturiser and it’s brill for day time. For barrier repair I use La Roshe Posay Cicaplast Baume at night. Calms down everything and it’s nourishing.

Silk pillowcases are praised for helping blemish prone skin. Cotton fabrics on pillowcases absorb more of your skincare and are harsher. I'd advise having a look at a silk one rather than swapping out your fabric softener!

As soon as you mentioned flannels I instantly wondered whether you put fabric conditioner in with them. As it’s what can effect my face if I do. I think is coz when the flannel gets wet and you rub it on your face you could be adding ingredients your skins not liking.

Jess I think I have the same skin type as yours. I feel your pain. I actually trained myself to sleep on my back, which was not easy, because I also tend to break out on my right side - the side that slept on. I tried changing tons of different detergents throughout the years, stopped using fabric softeners, and ended up realising that my skin just needs to breathe. I hope you have more luck. Loved the vlog! 😄

Acne comes from eating an acidic diet. At least for me. It also comes from hormone changes. So I personally try to incorporate vegetables and fruits in my diet (doesnt also happen but I try!!). Makes my skin much better. I try to invest in beauty from the inside but eating well. I dont need to buy make up to cover up my skin blemishes. Thats my advice. My mom always says she still gets acne sometimes.

Indie did a really good job with your hair! Adding just a couple of layers would for sure help to really add some movement and get rid of the bulkiness :) from a fellow person with fine but thick hair, unfortunately there’s only so much you can do to manage the thickness/bulk if you keep your hair one length with no layers.. all the thickness pretty much remains ahah. You look great however you have it though 😊

It sounds like your skin sensitivity (along with oil production) is due to weak barrier as you have already know. I would recommend routine of gentle wash, once a week exfoliation, and tons of hydration with tons of sunscreen. Less harsh exfoliation and more hydration will help a lot in term of repair your skin. I use balm makeup remover from a Korean brand and Philosophy Simple as cleanser, Drunk Elephant AHA/BHA exfoliation mask, and Beliv along with SK-II for moisturizer (yeah I use 2 type of light moisturizers at once, it just works for me and when I use them individually, I don’t feel hydrated enough. And heavy creams are just too much). EltaMD is my sunscreen :). I also use hydrating serum to boost it and I have recently been able to balance my skin. No more excessively oily, almost to normal condition with a little oily at the end of the day, and definitely stronger skin barrier (as to less sensitive to everything that touch my skin).
@LinLin-ep5wu4 жыл бұрын
Also, when your skin is healthier, you can add AHA treatment some nights a week to treat acne. But if your skin is like mine, having acne due to extra oil and dead skin cell, which is because of dry weather and dehydration combination (and then the drier my skin is, the oilier it is... the endless circle), then once you exfoliate and hydrate it, it should reduce breakouts tremendously. I now only have breakouts once a month every month =] and I can try out more skincare products than I did before.
