For anyone with an arthritic dog (I know a little different than this situation), look into Librela shots! It has totally changed my dogs life, went from barely being able to walk to fully walking, running and even being able to jump. It takes about 2-3 shots (1 shot a month) to take full effect but trust me it can give your dog a new breath of life. It’s not too expensive either.

Did you get a health guarantee from the breeder? They should be testing their lines/only breeding lineages that haven’t shown signs of hip dysplasia/luxation. Also, talk to your vet but you may want to look into hip/joint supplements or a food geared towards this function. And, even if they love it, don’t let him jump off of high things. The impact will wear on them. Pick ‘em up and out of the car, bed, etc. little things will add up. Good luck. (Mine is 18 weeks but we’ve had GSD all my life so similar problem)

I didn't really notice a difference with this one. Could be that this case needs regular PT and supplements like doggy fish oil in their diet. Hope they're off the kibble. My dog has bilateral luxating patellas. Needed to change his diet, give him dog fish oil every other day, and physical therapy (I used techniques I learned because I have degenerative disk disease). He's doing much better, but it's a daily thing.

I wish I could get an adjustment like this. I have scoliosis, 3 bulged discs, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. I always asked my different super fancy specialist doctors about chiropractics as a potential relief to my back and neck pain, without fail every one of them said they wouldn’t recommend using chiropractors and some even scoffed at the idea of them being used by anyone 😔.

Baby boy. Have you checked his thyroid levels? Shiba hair loss like that on the tail can be thyroid. The Coughing is from you crushing his trachea, get that pressure off his neck. I have shibas, they are traumatized from being over-handled, this is torture. He walked better because he wanted to get the heck out that torture chamber. Get his thyroid checked. He has spine/Neurological problems. My guy was limping and losing his hair before he started thyroid replacement meds. He's fluffy and vigorous now.
