Dogfight in Ukraine: Su-27 jet opens fire on Russian pilot with air-to-air heat-seeking missile

Rare footage appears to show a dogfighting jet in Ukraine. Analysts and Ukrainian sources claim it shows an Su-27 fighter firing an air-to-air missile, presumably at a Russian aircraft. One analyst claimed the missile was a heat-seeking R-73 AAM. Ukrainian and Russian jets rarely engage each-other in the air. Ukraine’s jets are generally weaker, and Kyiv fears losing them. While Russia is thought to have few pilots, and can’t risk them. There were frequent dogfights in the early days of the war. But since then the air air forces have largely avoided each-other.
