Great videos I must say. I have a 11 week Dogo Puppy and debating how to go with in terms of food source. So far I am giving him Taste of the wild. What do you think?

I honestly dislike kibble as a primary food source due to seeing two 2019 littermates, 1 on raw and 1 on kibble and seeing their development. All things else being fairly similarly the raw fed DA was significantly more muscular, better body form and overall more balanced. There is something to be said for the saying “it’s what you breed not what you feed” meaning genetics are more important than nutrition so it could be the raw fed pup, the runt, who has ended up being the more cut/muscular DA simply had different genes than her littermates.

My Dogo is akc and ukc regisitered but my boy is an absolute beast wayyyyy above standards he's 12 months 29" at withers and 113 pounds. What caused him to be so big?

Well it’s likely in his ancestry two or more dogs that did not meet the breed standards in terms of size were bred passing the overly large size gene down to your boy. Or perhaps in his ancestry he favors the Great Dane lineage but being out of standard in height is a disqualification in conformance.

A Dogo is about 85% of his body height/weight at 10 months; the last 15% is gained between ten months and 2.5 to 3 years. Males mature slowly in this breed. You should try to make sure you do good exercise avoiding pavement with him because he’s so big to minimize the chance of elbow or hip dysplasia which happens more frequently the larger the animal. Also try to give him an orthopedic style bed with a minimum of 4” thick foam to avoid elbow calluses developing due to pressure points; once a calluse starts it’s very difficult to get rid of them.

Adopted a Dogo, definitely not a working line. I'd never recommend one to a person who isn't willing to give up ALOT of time or are very competent.... However this beautiful lad (16 months as of post) has made me obsessed. I'm a Bully/Pitbull person but I'll be rethinking my dog choice from now on because of this one dog. I repeat, DO NOT GET ONE WITHOUT SERIOUS EXPERIENCE AND SACRIFICE!

I heard that it's not wise to breed a Cane Corso Mastiff with a Dogo Argentino because they both Carrie a Blondness Gene and the litter can be mostly blind. But I was wondering if we were to breed A Dogo Argentino with a Blue Nose pit bull, then with Pups from that Litter with a Cane Corso Mastiff would that or could that negate that blindness Gene?
