Wonderful! I hope your dog gets a lot of benefits from these videos: a better feeling being at home without you, learning dog social skills, an enriched life with stories of lots of other dogs playing out on your TV.

I know this is an older video, but I love Memphis. He looks like he just wants to play. If he got adopted, I hope he went to a good place
@DogPlaygroupStories10 ай бұрын
Memphis is still at the shelter, but he's at the dog playgroups most days. He got fostered every now and then, so he's been able to spend some time outside of the shelter, but still hasn't found a home.

You should put some adds on these videos so you could get some money out of it. Me and my dog spend the day with these videos working from the living room ❤

Actually the videos do have ads, but they don't show up for people with KZbin Premium. Otherwise you should see ads every now and then.

My dog thinks all the adverts suck

The ads are providing thousands of dollars a month to the shelter dogs (via the associated non-profit organization), so they serve an important purpose. I bought KZbin Premium myself so I don't see any ads on any videos and I'd recommend it to others.

Where is the drinking water for the dogs
@DogPlaygroupStories7 ай бұрын
This was during a very serious disease outbreak and the lead veterinarian made the difficult decision to continue with playgroups since they lowered dogs' stress level, making them less susceptible. But we had to remove the common water which could easily spread the disease very quickly. None of us were happy about it, but it was actually best for the dogs. We monitored them for symptoms of dehydration and avoided leaving them in the yard for a long time. And we held the playgroups in the early morning before it got too hot. The lead veterinarian at the shelter works with other shelters to determine the best practices among animal shelters.

This video (and several others) was recorded during a deadly strep zoo outbreak at the shelter. Dogs would die within hours of detecting the disease. The staff and volunteers did a lot of heroic efforts to minimize the spread of the disease. With the playgroups, there was a huge problem: dogs needed to socialize in order to minimize their stress level (and the disease affects stressed out dogs, especially in an animal shelter). The lead shelter veterinarian made the decision to remove the water from the playgroup to limit the possible spread of the disease while still allowing the dogs to attend the playgroups, and the playgroups were early in the morning before the temperature was too high and the dogs had limited time in the yard and were monitored for signs of dehydration. The strep zoo outbreak was very well contained, thanks to all the various efforts we undertook. I continued to record videos and donate revenue to the shelter to help pay for things like expensive, urgent medicines and disposable protective gear we all had to wear.

I'm currently not interested in any collaborations. If I find something that's really good, I'd probably just promote it for free, like Dogs Playing for Life, who pioneered dog playgroups in animal shelters and do wonderful work.

absoloutely love these videos but please omggggg no more sad music, all of a sudden was reminded all these dogs dont have their spot on the sofa yet :( and may never have a home of their own, althrough they look happy in these clips, still when you go home they go to their lonely kennel, and all these thoughts come from the music you added... wish i could do more :(

Sorry to be negative… but in this video, the pitbull seems to not get much attention from you like the other dogs do. She doesn’t seem to interest you. I just pray you are not treating her no differently from the other dogs!

We're not supposed to give attention to any of the dogs. Sometimes handlers will pet certain dogs they know will not resource guard the handler, but we really shouldn't be doing that.
