Judge Judy needs to understand that pain and suffering is real!! Awarding the plaintiff the amount billed is not OK! She was asking for $5k, her bill was $2,100 ...she should have at least been awarded $4k because she had to possibly not go to work and take her dog to the vet. How did she get there? It could have been much worse, if a service dog is attacked and left unable to work then the defendant could have been held for the full replacement cost of the service dog. $10,000-60,000+ But then again a service dog shouldn't be on a table so it begs the question as to whether this is an actual trained service dog (that was placed in a peculiar position for the TV show) or another of the million Amazon Servuce Dogs that's ruining it for people who need the assistance of a service dog. Either way, paying for the vet bill is the least anyone should get away with.

By the defendant's logic, her Dogs get rattled by A someone opening the door, and B someone bringing their dog inside. If the defendant's dogs are so easily startled then she should elect to never ever have them in the Coffee shop again. The next time the dogs could bite a person and not just another dog and the defendant could have such a massive lawsuit that she could lose her coffee shop. Plus she made up that story about the defendant throwing her dog inside the coffee shop so she did not have to do the right thing and pay the vet bills. I really want to know if the coffee shop was open when the plaintiff walked in. When I do cashiering at Walmart, I will have my light off because I need to leave to either take my break/lunch or return to my actual department and people will still come into my line since our "closed" signs is a rope thing that we can't put up until our last customer is gone or enough out of the way. Just because there are people there, others will believe that the place is open. As such, I want to know if the place was actually open at the time. People don't always care about signs or even bother to look. If the shop was actually closed, it could be the plaintiff's fault since she shouldn't have been in there then. If the shop was open, the defendant would be at fault for not having her dogs under her control.
