I just do not understand this. The lady with the pug type dog says that she eats her meal with the dog standing next to her on the sofa - she could very easily send the dog away. I do not get why people need a top dog trainer to come and tell them what is, or at least should be, common sense.

Sadly many people get a dog with no idea of what it involves, sad but true! 😎😎

Seniors for seniors. Great companions. House trained and mellowed with age, won't knock you down and break your bones. Go to the shelter.

How do you go to work all day and leave a dog for over eight hours?

Barking apart, Ernie the Yorkie is cute. Reminds me of my Yorkshire Terrier mix Canela during her puppyhood.

Routine's are important when you get a new dog. Take them out before you leave the house, again when you get back home, & 15-30 mins after each meal. Once the dog realizes that they get to go out they will learn to hold it. It’s insane how people think they only need to take dog out twice a day. Dogs also mess in the house when they’re stressed & not getting enough physical & mental activity.

That is a myth and is a matter of training and discipline. I have a small (3,5 kg) dog and she is as calm as any large dog. I believe the problem is that people don't take a small dog and their training seriously, something I did, and I think that is rather the problem!!!
