Britain is a nation of dog lovers, but what happens when domestic bliss turns to chaos? Luckily, there's someone you can call. Master dog trainer, Graeme Hall is on a mission to restore harmony across the country. He has built his reputation on finding quick but long-lasting fixes to almost any unwanted dog behaviour, helping to train over 5000 canines (and 1 fox!) and their owners. His mantra is clear: "Any Dog, Any Age, Any Problem."

Absolutely. Dogs don't lie, people do. Rehome the husband. Puppies are friendly loving little lives that are warm and affectionate to all.... Unless.... Something negative happened to them by that person. At the very least he clearly had no interest in the dog as a puppy, was clearly cold towards it upon arrival and then wonders why the dog is not interested in him.

@@Sly_Wolf_1 absolutely untrue, sometimes a dog can just dislike a person, maybe he reminds her of someone who hurt her, but assuming hes abused her is sick of you. dont pretend you know more than you do, and dont make assumptions about people.
@Sly_Wolf_1

@@BensonCope No, that's where you're wrong. When buying a healthy socialised desensitised puppy it has no reason not to like a person. It would be different had the family taken on a rescue with an unknown chequered history, but they didn't, they got a puppy! So why would he remind them of a person who had previously hurt her? They brought home a puppy without issues. Dogs make great family additions, whilst they will generally favour one specific person more within the family unit, they will however take to all of them. Saying something negative happened does not infer animal abuse as you claim I have said. You clearly know very little. Just giving a dog the cold shoulder alone, especially during it's formative puppy stages can render them less likely to want to interact with that person. It is clear from the video that this man is not as excited by the dog or as emotionally expressive as the other other family members, the way he talks to it lacks emotion, fun or excitement, he simply doesn't seem to warm to it. Being that dogs are social creatures it's only natural for it to desire being with those that are more affectionate, more fun, provide more happy, exciting and stimulating interaction. I have 46yrs years experience owning my own dogs, training working dogs for general purpose and detection, along with just general domestic obedience. You accuse me of making assumptions and yet make uneducated assumptions or claim to know my experience or knowledge. Yes a dog can simply dislike or distrust a person, my dogs are great judges of character, however despite their training they are very social, but they will meet and have met people whom they just don't like. I trust their instincts as they pick up on micro expressions and signals that as evolved humans we don't pick up on, we just do not use primitive instincts anymore and are generally focused on other things, not whether an average normal persons has good or bad intentions. I have yet to experience a healthy, desensitised, socialised puppy that doesn't crave attention. I have had puppies who have not had the greatest start in life from bad breeders, and rescues too. Nervous of people, frightened by new experiences etc, all eventually respond to kindness, affection, mental stimulation and slow exposure to life's "scary" things. They have grown to be loyal trustworthy dogs. Experience is telling this dog to stay away, something it learnt from puppyhood.

@@Sly_Wolf_1 this is funny, you DID imply abuse, just like many others in the comments. you went on to agree with me that dogs can simply dislike people based on body language, and social cues they pick up on. Saying that the father should be “rehomed” as a response to them providing the same option about the dog is disgusting, not everyone has to be generally fond of dogs, should he make an effort? of course, however if the father is an anxious person, on the spectrum, or experienced some trauma in the past (im not saying that he is) that impacts how he connects with people and animals then claiming that the father is doing something wrong is stupid, some people just aren’t suited to have pets. most of this is speculation on the half of everyone saying similar things in the comments. im not claiming to have the answers, im simply stating that making assumptions and judgements about this household and their dog is stupid. what if they got the dog and the dad was too busy to spend time with the dog at first, and as it acclimated to everyone else it hadn’t to the father, causing them to avoid each other like we see in the video, he could’ve and shouldve made an effort sooner but things dont always work out the best. the only reason im making these assumptions is because people making assumptions that the dad had been doing something downright evil need to see that there are millions of ways and reasons for this to be happening. if you really didn’t mean to imply he has abused the dog i apologize, but ive seen many comments doing so and all the “…”, “… unless… something negative happened to her from that person.”

I got my first dog when I was only 18 years old. It was just her and me in our home. She was great with women and children but didn't like men. My guess is she was being very protective of me. When I met my husband to be, if he didn't love dogs, he would not had been my husband to be LOL My dog got use to him and he was the only man that she would ever let pat her. She lived to be almost 18 years old. A really great dog!

What rubbish. I think the poor man is just blessed with a stern face. It took one of my rescue dogs 3 months to have a bar of my other half - now she worships the ground he walks on. this is two fold . one dogs are never wrong about why or who they don't like but in this case the wife and the kids are not disciplining the dog when he goes against the father . The dog may be trying to protect the mother and kids and gets rewarded for this by them giving affection . the dog must be shown that he cannot hold a higher position in the pack than the father. Now, the father is also part of the problem as he feels rejected by his own family when they show affection for the dog and exudes negativity towards the dog creating a vicious circle . but the dog above all else must be shown his place in the pack as being lower than the father

My puppy took to my partner straight away, he was the one that cuddled her and I was the monster who trained her, who fed cleaned walked and got her through all those puppy and "teenage" problems. I stuck through it all relentlessly. Perhaps it's I didn't want to get attatched because of my dog dying just 5 months previously and the gentle nature of my partner who'd let her get away with murder. After about a year or so, she knew how to be a fairly good dog, but I had to train my partner who'd let her jump all over him, the scratching him, play biting etc was getting out of control, I came to the realisation that she didn't love me like she loves him, but respected me more, for Gods sake she was even humping him, so I put my foot down on his behaviour and hers towards him. Now 2 years old I have a well behaved chilled out small terrier, still daddies girl in many respects, but me and her adore eachother too. I cannot believe how long the hard work lasted but with such good rewards. I have looked at so many dog training programmes and KZbin videos in the last 2 years every hour has been worth it's price in gold, I found this guy is among the top trainers.❤
