Dogville is definitely underrated.

This was her finest film. She was luminous and brilliant. This film is a masterpiece. I would have loved to see her in the other two films. One of my all time favourite films.

It would be wonderful if Dogville would just exist in America. Doville is everywhere where humans are. It's one of the best studies of human nature I have ever seen. Thank God/dess there are exceptions, but most humans function in Dogville dynamics.

This movie is magical... it's strange that the first time I saw it I felt it was uncomfortable that it was filmed as a theater play, but the story is so good that after half an hour you totally forget about it! In the end I had sworn to have seen the snow and the houses and trees!! Lars is a genious and this movie has added a lot to my philosophy about life

The Others and Margot at the Wedding too. Those two along with Dogville, Rabbit Hole, and the Paperboy make my fav Kidman performances.

Even if you are being sarcastic she isnt starring mulholland drive you might thought she was Naomi Watts. But still it would be intersting casting i believe not to sure though i need some thoughts over this hmm that was a great statement you made, nice conversation maker

You missed the point, the Dogville residents aren't supposed to be unique monsters, they are intended to represent all people. The movie has a misanthropic view of human beings. I did love the ending though. One of the best revenge climaxes. If you like Dogville see Titus or Ms 45 or I Spit On Your Grave.

I thought Dogville was such a fantastic movie and I was so disappointed that she didn't end up playing Grace in the sequel. I have yet to see the sequel but plan to watch it soon. Though I highly doubt that anybody will be able to replace Nicole Kidman as Grace! She was phenomenal.

Ironically, it might have been Lars' pushiness here that she announce her participation in the rest of the trilogy that actually put her off doing them. There's clearly a tension between the two anyway.

Deal breaker. Really hope Washington gets made. Would be interesting if yet again another actress plays the starting role of grace, being the first trilogy to have a different staring actor/actress for each film. He could use his good friend Kirsten Dunst to play grace. At first glance you would think Nicole would be a lot better suited until you look at KD's flexography and realise given the vast diversity of roles she has been able to play convincingly, she would actually be quite brilliant.

Because the film is about something. These things never happened in France or Denmark. You don`t just randomly pull a name out of a hat when setting a film somewhere. This isn`t a disposable hollywood movie where it doesn`t matter what city it`s in because everything gets blown up anyway. Think a bit more.
