The piston rod was rotating together with the insert, that why insert outer side is scratched, but inner part is intact. Possibly wrong/inaccurate install...

There is a special socket for that crank pulley bolt , comes off with ease!

What kind of bearings were you running? I think the wear is because of the clearance with the rod. Great content 👌

@@anotherefncrxvlog4350 all the rebuilds I’ve done all had those scoring on the caps bcuz they assemble the bearings dry on the cap and lube the face of the bearing

Think cylinder 3 was getting water in it with it been that clean as when I've seen headgaskets go the piston and valves get steam cleaned and oil etc washed away so that would explain the slight wear.

The clean cylinder was the one burning the coolant. I don’t know what is up with all that carbon buildup. You were steam-cleaning it.
