I love the way Sierra and Stephen talk to the Starbucks barista. It’s the most American thing I’ve ever heard. Being from Europe I would be so confused if people were that polite / interactive at any cafe or bar 😂

As a German who worked at Disney World in Florida I can confirm it’s super weird to be soo overly friendly - at first. After some weeks I’ve just gotten used to it and now, being back home in Germany I miss all the friendly people and the great service culture 😭😅

@@annam4154 Haha yes would probably have exactly the same response. I remember being in America and people just randomly talking to you while you're in the lift or in a queue or something. Had no idea how to respond! But to be fair, it probably is nicer than the service industry here in Europe.

I keep one eye closed as I walk to the bathroom. If I open both eyes then I can't get back to sleep. But I get up to pee multiple times too and found this works. Also don't turn on any lights. Might not work for everyone, but works for me.

Whatever pump stuff you have-BUY AN EXTRA SET!! Having to clean them after every use is alot when its 2 am. My son was sleeping through the night at 3 months old for 6-7 hours and I had to wake up and pump every night and then again in the morning, and having that extra set was a lifesaver.

Tips: When you wake up in the middle of the night dont turn any lights on, and if you must- I heard putting a red lightbulb in your bathroom helps so your eyes dont have to adjust as much!

I have a phillips smart bulb set to red and connected to a motion sensor so I don’t have to worry about the light when I get up every night. I set it up when I was only about 10 weeks along, and I’m definitely going to leave it hooked up even after o give birth. It is so convenient!

In regards to keeping a sleepy mood when you have to get up in the night, I use a red or purple night light in my bathroom, one that is only just bright enough to see. Blue light will make you wake up and white light can feel really harsh, while red light doesn't affect sleepiness. Hope that helps you!

I am literally nursing baby #3 while watching this and my biggest a tips specifically for nighttime feedings are: red lights where you’re feeding (this type of light still allows for melatonin to develop which help you and baby fall back to sleep), have a waterbottle with a straw (at the beginning nursing is a two handed event), nipple pads, a TON of burp rags (you can use it to wipe up anything). These are next to me even now with my 10 month old. The biggest piece of advice I can give though is don’t fret about getting everything in there. From what I can see Stephen is going to be an amazingly supportive nursing partner and you will find out very quickly what YOUR necessities are and filling the cart will be very easy after the first couple of days.

For your breastfeeding cart: nipple shields! They're inexpensive and you can get them from target. When you first start breastfeeding, sometimes your nipples can get really sore and even crack or bleed. When that happened to me, the nipple shields saved me!!!! Just make sure you look up how to get the correct size 😊 totally not a necessity, but definitely nice to have!

Snacks in an easy to access basket is a game changer. My daughter keeps both sweet and savory. Peanut butter pretzels, cheese crackers, goldfish, chocolate covered nuts and raisins, Kind bars, fruit bites are staples. She fills up her water bottle before bed. Here’s a couple of tips for getting back to sleep- 1- Do NOT look at the clock! This usually gets my brain started computing how long I’ve been asleep, how much longer I have to sleep etc...which wakes me up. 2- If you use a light or nightlight swap out the bulbs for a red bulb, this way you aren’t exposing your eyes to blue light, which wakes us up. Hope that helps a bit!

Breast Feeding Cart tips: The first couple weeks you may have too much milk. Have something (I used receiving blankets) to soak up extra milk. The Hakka is a life saver in the extra milk department. Have extra breast pads for when you are done feeding. I also recommend a nose sucker (nose frida is what I had) for when baby is stuffy.

Don't avoid the pool! It will do wonders for your back... and once baby had arrived, I started my little one in swim lessons at 7 weeks old and we could have started at 4 weeks (or as soon as belly button is healed)

I’m 33 weeks and have the same problem with insomnia and then not being able to fall asleep after getting up to go pee, and I also have the WORST back pain, what I’ve found works for me is this “sleepy body lotion” by 8 Sheep Organics. My husband rubs it on my back and legs and gives me a massage after a nice warm shower and it is a GAME CHANGER! My body feels so relaxed and it helps me fall asleep and stay asleep, even after getting up to go pee. I also agree with other comments about keeping the lights off when getting up, it does help tremendously. Wishing you all the very best, baby girl is almost here and I’m so excited for you guys! 🥰

Oh my goodness I'm so early!! I'll update my comment when I finish this vlog!! Okay just finished watching. I'm literally crying thinking back to my pregnancy. I'm so happy Stephen and your mom was able to go to the ultrasound. As for tips on fall back to sleep try to keep it as dark as possible when you get up to use the restroom. I have a habit of looking at my phone to see what time it is and get distracted from there. But if I don't do that I can usually fall asleep pretty quickly after using the restroom
