@@annam4154 Haha yes would probably have exactly the same response. I remember being in America and people just randomly talking to you while you're in the lift or in a queue or something. Had no idea how to respond! But to be fair, it probably is nicer than the service industry here in Europe.

I have a phillips smart bulb set to red and connected to a motion sensor so I don’t have to worry about the light when I get up every night. I set it up when I was only about 10 weeks along, and I’m definitely going to leave it hooked up even after o give birth. It is so convenient!

In regards to keeping a sleepy mood when you have to get up in the night, I use a red or purple night light in my bathroom, one that is only just bright enough to see. Blue light will make you wake up and white light can feel really harsh, while red light doesn't affect sleepiness. Hope that helps you!

I am literally nursing baby #3 while watching this and my biggest a tips specifically for nighttime feedings are: red lights where you’re feeding (this type of light still allows for melatonin to develop which help you and baby fall back to sleep), have a waterbottle with a straw (at the beginning nursing is a two handed event), nipple pads, a TON of burp rags (you can use it to wipe up anything). These are next to me even now with my 10 month old. The biggest piece of advice I can give though is don’t fret about getting everything in there. From what I can see Stephen is going to be an amazingly supportive nursing partner and you will find out very quickly what YOUR necessities are and filling the cart will be very easy after the first couple of days.

For your breastfeeding cart: nipple shields! They're inexpensive and you can get them from target. When you first start breastfeeding, sometimes your nipples can get really sore and even crack or bleed. When that happened to me, the nipple shields saved me!!!! Just make sure you look up how to get the correct size 😊 totally not a necessity, but definitely nice to have!

Here’s a couple of tips for getting back to sleep- 1- Do NOT look at the clock! This usually gets my brain started computing how long I’ve been asleep, how much longer I have to sleep etc...which wakes me up. 2- If you use a light or nightlight swap out the bulbs for a red bulb, this way you aren’t exposing your eyes to blue light, which wakes us up. Hope that helps a bit!
