This teaching is very insightful and value-loaded. In giving to the poor, our motivation should be LOVE. Giving to the poor is a loan to God, and God cannot owe any man. Thank you Sir for this impactful teaching!

Please I have a question regarding the teaching. I agree that when we give to the poor we lend to God.. People have been hurt in the past due to the kind of heart (good) they have. They have lent money to the needy with the intention of getting a payback. And the borrower refused to pay, stopped picking calls and acted as if nothing happened. Some persons have reached a resolution that they cannot lend to people, that can only give what they can afford based on their budget without expecting any payback. My question is, as believers, is this a right position to take?

Exodus 22:25. Deuteronomy 24:10 I think the intention of giving here matters a lot. When you give loan to God by giving the poor, you shouldn't expect reward from the poor but God. There's a part of this message where the he gave an instance, "...if I asked my wife to give lend money to someone, who will pay her back?" Him that asked his wife to lend the money will pay back. God will definitely pay you back. Giving a business loan to a friend is not loaning to God, that's your personal business.
