I guess, if it is in your way as you go straight to Ganon, it'd be okay to pick it up. So, you start empty and reach Ganon with nothing but what you took on the way there. But you can't stop to look for something or to look of there's anything to pick up, unless it is to fuse it with a weapon. Would that be fair? Because this didn't feel fair.

so basically, if you pick up a weapon, its counted as "unfair". i'd say anything in the depths wouldn't be considered prep, since he's already there. also, if you cant look for weapons, the only possible way for soapy to do damage, would be take the rocks near the torch and hit the enemys with the rock using master hand. (thats a good idea actually)

IMO for this challenge, you should be able to pick up everything between Bottomless Pond and The Demon King's Army. No special trips into Hyrule Castle to go get the Hylian Shield, but you CAN pick up the three swords next to the sword guy in Lookout Landing, for example (and I usually get a Royal Guard's Bow out of one of the Like-Likes in Gloom's Approach, so there's a good bow to start with for the Army)

When I first faced Ganondorf in the Depths all of the gloom decreased my HP to only three hearts, I ran out of sundalions, I had no way of restoring my HP to full health and Ganondorf was just beating me up with one hit knock outs the entire time. I had to start a new game because I was at the point of no return, I was not able to fast travel to areas where I can grab a ton of equipment, I had to start a new game. And I was playing the game like most ppl would play this game.

So, after observing your battle tactics I’ve got some notes. 1- I’d recommend keeping a shield out so there is a less likely chance that you’ll get hit 2- try and keep some distance between you and your enemies when using a bow. 3-go one at a time instead of going for a big group. Take them out one at a time, that’ll make it easier to keep yourself safe. 4- focus on the enemies that are around you so they don’t catch you off guard 5- if you did get caught of guard, it’s better to pull out a shield instead of trying to jump or run out of the way. Hope that helps if you ever try a challenge again (which I hope you do;)
