If I am not mistaken you have operated both the 8MCR and your current10 MCR, would the smaller machines be able to perform similarly or is the 10 a must have for timber harvesting. I think I am going to order an 8 MCR for spring but screw the rubber track, going metal tracks from the get go and rubber tracks are need later so be it

What does that mecalac cost and how expensive are the attachments? Is it a universal bobcat coupler so you can use existing attachments, or is every proprietary?

Have you tried the mecalac mwr? It’s much faster and it appears to have the same specs. With double wheels wouldn’t it have similar traction?
@VBELTandSON2 жыл бұрын
Road work it would be great. Tires suck off road. Not nearly as stable or not much traction. Tracks best way to go
@specialistplantsouthwestlt38732 жыл бұрын
@@VBELTandSON Don't discount it completely, its impressive what and where an MWR can go, especially when its dry. Its not a replacement for tracks in certain situations but they are incredibly capable.

@@specialistplantsouthwestlt3873 no doubt it’s a beast but oof I wouldn’t take it anywhere I go with a track machine

@ben If you are working off road with a wheeled machine, dual wheels are the last option you want, the big flotation type tyres are far better for traction.
@jonasstahl98262 жыл бұрын
@@specialistplantsouthwestlt3873 Wheeled excavator are good when they are street legal or you work alot on paved ground. On dirt tracks are way better specialy because the Mecalac is already pretty fast, you probably cant drive much faster on the jobside anyway
