FionaFrills also don’t dip the point of the brush in the polymer (acrylic powder)! Lay the brush almost on its side and just touch the brush to the product with one side. Your beads didn’t want to let go of the brush because of that and so it just ended up staying in the brush and clumping it up. 😟

Tip for acrylic nail: first you need to buff away the shine on your nails and apply a nail dehydrator as well as a primer by doing this it’ll allow your nails to last longer. Also to get a good shape you need to file the nail to the shape desired before applying acrylic. When applying the beads do not I repeat DO NOT just dip your brush into the acrylic powder. You’re supposed to that the brush lightly onto the powder so that the powder doesn’t harden onto your brush, because what u we’re doing was getting acrylic all over the brush leading it to stay stuck in the middle of the bristles which will cause the brush to harden.

When you get a new brush for acrylic you need to bend it and stuff so it's not that stiff and the application is better and you can control it better Edit: and when you want to do glitter acrilyc dip the brush in the acrylic first and then dip it in glitter then put it on the nail or you can just mix a little acrylic and glitter and then put it on the nail
@nick_4344 жыл бұрын
Tips: •when glueing nails on start prom pinky to thumb so it's easier, usually leaving index and thumb fingers of your dominant hand for the end. •clean your brush in between so you don't get any hardened acrylic in between the rest. It helps so you don't mess up your brush and it helps not mess up the shape of your acrylic.

The chrome needs a tacky layer to stick to which is why nail techs do a colour underneath. You could also do a gel top coat underneath cause that also has the tacky layer once dried in the led lamp x
@usern28424 жыл бұрын
one reason why this didn't go well is because you need to use the same brand of monomer as your acrylic powder as they chemically formulate them to work together. You used Young Nails (my favorite brand) monomer with CND acrylic powder, not optimal girl! loved the video though keep it up :))))

I’m no nail tech but I have done extensive research on acrylic application and I’ve been doing polygel and gel nail polish for years now. Here are some tips if this helps: when using acrylic make sure when you take the brush out of the acrylic liquid press one side of the brush against the side lightly to get rid of excess product which will make the bead more playable and easy to work with. Also, with the glitter powders make sure you’re using white gel polish beforehand (I’m not sure if you were). Lastly, you want to make sure the most product is at the apex of the nail meaning not against the cuticle but about 3/4 from the tip if that makes sense and the rest of the nail should gradually get thinner until you reach the nail tip (idk if that makes sense at all) Make sure to wipe your brush on the paper towel each time you dip back into the liquid because the excess powder on the brush will harden up and make your brush all crusty and gross and no one wants that. MAKE SURE YOU WATCH SOME VIDEOS ON YT I HAVE FOUND LONG HAIR PRETTY NAILS SUPER HELPFUL and also just watching tutorials in general. I hope this helps!
@courtneybenkin29354 жыл бұрын
Also polygel is a much easier option for beginners because you can use dual forms! And cheaper!

tips from someone self taught, when picking up your bead angle your brush slightly and gently tap onto the acrylic powder to create your bead, dont dip the tip of the brush into the acrylic powder, it will get stuck in your brush and its really hard to get out. also when you place your bead onto the nail, tilt your finger down slightly, it will encourage the acrylic away from your cuticle and help give you a neater finish. hope this helps. good luck xx

Also if you don’t wanna deal with polish you can always use colored acrylic! It makes it so much easier and you can do so many more designs with it. I must say though, not bad for a first try! Good job! Also another tip: you might do better with a pre crimped acrylic brush. A flatter oval helps you pick up a bead of Acrylic and keep it on ONE side of the brush. You don't want wet acrylic on all sides of your brush( just on the bottom/under side).. Pat, press and pull girl lol( nail tech lingo)

Also keeping dipping the brush in the liquid and wiping it on the paper towel to stop acrylic building up on it and ruining the brush. The nails look really good for the first time you did them, I’ve seen nails techs working for months do so much worse.
