For people that want to know more; according to his welfare report, it says that Kohei suffered from a mental illness/disorder (精神障害), which is why he was treated so poorly by the other tenants. There was this big massacre in Japan where a former disability clinic employee killed all the disabled people at the center. He even informed authorities before he did it and they just had him under observation for two weeks and deemed him ok. He said he did it for the betterment of Japan. So, I've seen a playthrough by someone who reached the other ending, and they did not leave the apartment, but instead found Kohei in the fridge, and then saw the neighbours through the windows. Which is what I think is supposed to happen with this ending? Getting out and seeing them from the outside seems like a bug. Also, the text at the end doesn't make a lot of sense if you haven't found the body beforehand, does it? :D Very strange. One thing that was also suggested in that other playthrough was that the neighbours were so horrible because Japanese people tend to have a very high work ethic and thus look down on people living off the state? So basically the game's supposed to be critical of Japanese society?
@announced79643 жыл бұрын

Thus far there have been at least two games, "Convenience Store", and, "Night Delivery", based in a Japanese setting that featured night time parcel service. Guess that means that's big over there? Receiving packages deep in the night? Then again, the player's character in Convenience Store did comment that it was odd to be receiving the package that late, so perhaps not... Amazon'll deliver up until about 22:00 local here. That's 30 minutes after sunset in the summer time and nearly 5 hours after sunset in the winter. But the latest I've actually received a package is probably about 20:30 local. USPS - the standard US Mail Service - UPS, Fedex and DHL never operate that late, at least not in my experience. I believe I've heard Japan has a large number of private parcel services...

I'm living in Tokyo now, and as far as I know, delivery service usually goes from 8am 'till 9pm. Parcels that have no delivery time required are usually being delivered before noon. I thought Japanese buildings didn't have a 4th floor, because of the association with death... straight from 3 to 5. Does this game have a 4th floor because it's usual? Or because it is a scary game with an association with death?

Seeing as how on every other floor the rooms went from 303 to 305 except on the fourth floor, where the disabled man lived in room 404, I'm guessing it was symbolic.

Maybe because is a horro game the devs left him on purpose

There's usually forth floor, and even room#4. But hospitals, some hotels, and I suppose some old apartments don't have it. I think the first reply has a point tho

I just have to say I went with the holding money close your eye, but decided the character is in fact holding the money with their eyelashes. So when the baby got picked up all I could do was die laughing because that’s gotta be strong eyelashes to hold a baby like that. That’s some serious strong hold mascara, I can see the ads for it now, so strong it can lift your lashes, hold your packages, carry your money, and hold your kids. Best 4n1 mascara out there lol

"I kick ass for the Lord" Dead Alive is a movie you own to show it to other people not so much because you want to watch it again. Fun fact it is the only horror movie that make me throw up.
