Thankful for all the heroes that laid down their lives so we can do whatever we'd like here in the US. I love to workout and that's how I choose to honor them.
Today was about honoring their sacrifice through a workout that a late hero created; Michael Murphy.
The workout is as follows:
1 mile run
100 pull-ups
200 push-ups
300 squats
1 mile run
All with a 20 pound weighted vest.
As fast as you can as well.
I decided to break up the workouts instead of bulldozing straight through every movement and ultimately that makes your time faster. The big thing is... just do the reps and you're good.
33 minutes, 35 seconds is the time I got and now it's up to one of you to beat it. You don't have to wear jeans and Vans if you don't want to haha, but props to you if choose to.
Also, the jeans are from Origin if you were wondering. Made in the USA so it seemed fitting to wear as today was about honoring the American heroes sacrifices.

Awesome job man! I did my first ever MURPH yesterday and got 35 minutes but I didn’t have the weighted vest unfortunately. Maybe next year haha. You’re a beast!

The jeans are godlike, I just did the Bring Sally Up pushup challenge after 2 attempts and finally got it in jeans, that was damn hard but i recommend trying it

Had no idea you could mix it up. I always did all my pull-ups first then push-ups then squats. My time would improve greatly.

Just did murph weighted for the first time and it took my 1 hour and 38 minutes. I gotta run more.

AN IDEA FOR LESS PAIN for me as a climber, training often pullups and fingerstrengh, it makes a huge difference when iam training on wood instead of iron\plastic holds or training devices... Maybe a Wood Bar is worth a try ... dont know how that translates to making thousends of Pullups in such a short time but Wood reduces the friction plus is "softer" than metal or other materials .... Give it a try!!! would love to see if it works :) (Maybe even different types of wood makes a difference - soft wood vs hard wood)

I always thought you had to do the 100 pull-ups before you move onto the 200 push-ups and then finish that before starting 300 squats. I gotta try this method out

Yeah that’s the original I think but breaking them up just let’s you do it faster since your arms and legs get a break each time you switch exercises

I did it yesterday but I did the 100 pull-ups then the push ups then the squats I made it a lot harder on myself

I have a question about high volume training a testosterone. I currently do 100 pull ups a day but I have read that too much volume can cause lower testosterone. Do you think that this potentially lower testosterone? And have you noticed any negative impact on testosterone levels from high rep pull ups?

In my personal experience, all my workouts are high rep lower weight. And my recent test levels were in the low 800s in my late 20s.

To compare that time with other peoples you are going to want to lock out those squats as well as touch your chest to the ground on the push ups not just the plate carrier touching. Great looking pull ups though.

You’re good man, keep at it and the minutes will shave off. Running really helped me personally. If your heart is in good shape, you can go a lot harder for longer

I might be wrong but I believe that's doing murph without breaking up the pull ups, pushups, and squats. So finishing the 100 pull ups before moving onto the pushups, finishing the push ups before the squats
