Travis with @elevation0m proposed teaming up in a documentary style film recently. I hesitated as I explained my story has been shared many times and actually I’m kind of sick of hearing about Lift-Run-Shoot, no sleep, hammering, etc., so imagine what the haters must feel like? He countered that he thought his vision could be different and that as a filmmaker he wanted to take on the challenge.- •
I said, “Well, let’s see how bad you want to make this happen...be at my house at 2:45 a.m. tomorrow and we’ll get this party started.” And, he was.-• We started there and ended at the @huntexpo just a few days ago and in between he talked to my mom, who like all moms makes me seem more special than I am, and talked to @wayneendicott1354, who much like my mom, as a lifelong friend believes in me more than anyone since Roy Roth. They said things I’d never say but I guess that’s the point of a documentary?-• I’ll give a disclaimer and tell you that if you don’t like me you’ll probably really not like me after this and if you like me before watching it, hopefully you still do after?- This is my life and it’s not perfect, but I’m not apologizing .-•
🔨 I’m flawed in many ways; blessed more than I deserve but still have a chip on my shoulder it seems? I love many, but trust few. I’ve feel pain but try to convince myself I’m bulletproof while being weak and lacking confidence. Life is messy and beautiful. In the end, if this film gives a kid like I was hope that if they work hard dreams can come true then I’ll be happy. If they realize that even if no one believes in them and their heroes are gone, all hope is not lost. If they believe in themselves...that’s all it takes. 🙏

This was something special I was meant to watch. I have been following David Goggins during 2018 to present. In most of his videos, he talked about a guy named Cam. I had been struggling since my dad passed away from cancer last October. It shattered me. Being lost and confused. Not wanting to run my online business because I had lost my spark. So, since then, I took some time to work on myself and see what lessons I can take to strengthen me and motivate me to be hungry for my success. Is watching this video and many more to focus on my main goal. Be a great dad to my son and be more hungry and obsessed to love what I do, so I never work another day. Cam and David are my biggest role models to tap into a mindset that you will be forever proud of living your best life ever. Thank you for the inspiration and encouragement to really become my best version of a dad and a loving partner.

I served 2 tours in Iraq and that second tour I came back from I have never been the same. Logically you would blame the war.. I’m sure that has a lot to do with it, but that can’t just be it…. Like that’s It?? You can’t get your feet out of the cement again FOREVER?? I know this is not true but the anxiety and depression is like having 70lb sandbags on each shoulder at all times. These videos help me at least make the attempt to FIND ME again…. HE’s THERE… I have met him MULTIPLE TIMES in my life, but I haven’t seen him in awhile. I have watched from say 9:50 to 10:27 over and over again!! This shit is not HARD…. Get it done!! I appreciate you sir, God bless you!!!!

"Nobody would want my childhood and to trade with me" because your dad wasn't around, is one of the most stupid, ignorant things I've ever heard. I'm glad you take responsibility for your actions, and I agree there is so much value and truth in taking action instead of making excuses and viewing yourself as a victim, and I'm sorry you lost your dad, but so many people in this world would absolutely want to trade places with someone who grew up safe in the first world, and lost a parent. There are people who's very earliest memories are all of violence, or people who get sold into sex slavery or have to be child soldiers etc etc etc. It's good to not pity ourselves too much, but it becomes really toxic when you start saying things like no one would ever have it worse enough than you that they'd want to trade childhoods. That actually, is kind of viewing yourself as this victim who had like the worst life anyone could possibly have, and is more about lack of empathy for others than it is about lack of self pity. Luck has absolutely been a factor in the positive aspects of your life and some gratitude and awareness of that fact as well as that other people have had it worse than you would benefit you greatly.
