My ol painting teacher from uni also sculpted flat-plane foodstuff, and I agree painting them is a great exercise.

Although I'm familiar with a lot of these concepts, you have a way of encapsulating and reinforcing them very effectively. It works.

That was absolutely brilliant! I commend you in the way you described the importance of tonal values and reflections. It was one of the best videos I’ve seen on KZbin. We’ll done!

The first time I ever got serious with adding a direction of light for shading was an a nodical star so straight lines lots of Angelle's but when I was done I could not believe I had drawn it myself it was a game changer . thanks for the vid

"Com-pear" - seriously, though - this is brilliant. I've always been a bit confused about shadow work and determining local colors. Excited to make some fruit of my own and get to studying!
@arielceleda48972 жыл бұрын
i thought the same! With square shaped fruits is better, because you can easily compear 🤣🤣

This is laid out so well. Your channel is massively useful for painting miniatures as well as canvas. Thanks for putting your knowledge out there. I paint 3D figures in oils and there's just so little content available, but videos like this allow for a lot of crossover advice from 2D to 3D.

I did the red cup, a lemon and a lime you taught on the video and I was stunned I couldn’t believe what I have made. Looked for it for days still couldn’t believe it was my work! But when I tried this fruit one I failed miserably. Certainly lessons to learn. On screen seems very straight forward and reasonable, but when you really paint it if you don’t have good enough control over the paint this will look like a disaster… I am interested in buying more contents. What’s the difference between buying a course on your website and being a patreon member?

Chris great stuff. I saw these in another of your videos and went down the rabbit hole of the internet to find them. Glad to know now you made them. I’m going to give it a go as well. I’m terms of painting them what did you use an acrylic? Also did you just use one color to allow the angles to shift it? Love the channel!

noup, it won't help you paint any subject, specially not a variety of different materials and light sources
