Crazy Shirts is Hawaii's PREMIER brand t-shirts for its design and materials and workmanship. Bought my first 2 t-shirts back in 1971 at their first brick and mortar store in the Ala Moana Center when my parents allowed me to get them (a 'Fly United' design/logo with one geese humping another geese in mid air and the second being the common in the early 1970s peace sign symbol with the two words 'Come Together'(made famous by the Beatles song) ! Rick Ralston was a silkscreen artist who came from California and started Crazy Shirts about 1964 while silkscreening designs onto t-shirts fronting the International Marketplace in Waikiki. Became famous here and branched out to some stores in a few states on the mainland and also internationally. Eventually he sold his company to his employees I believe for a hell of a lot of $$ and could have retired, but he them started making Aloha wear (called RIX AlohaWear) --- which took off with us local people due to its good designs and being made here in Hawaii. If you have a Crazy Shirt, it will last a long time! As for the Tshirt choice, i would have selected the one on the right as it showed the date as to when The Dole Plantation started here in 1901. What? Dole Whip without the pineapple toppings? You don't know what you missed! 😮. Next time... Enjoyed watching this video, will now watch your others taken in Hawaii 🤙

@@hawaiiguy1 Wow! Thank you for the background on Crazy Shirts! I loved the idea of the dying process...thats what really intrigued me. I actually bought 3 while we were on the island, all from different locations. And I have to say, since we have been home those 3 shirts have been my favorites. I've probably worn each of them 5-10 times a piece already lol The fit is great, the fabric is excellent and I love the garment dye look. I can't wait to get more :) And I struggled with adding things to my Dole Whip LOL I wanted to taste it in its original form to compare to Disney. I was tempted though...for sure! Next time I'll be adventurous ;) Thanks so much for stopping by to watch the videos! Mahalo!

I WISH we lived in Hawaii 😂 I’ll keep dreaming lol But it is a little confusing because of the recent upload schedule. We are in the process of getting the rest of our Hawaii content edited and posted (it takes a lot of time with a 4 year old that needs everything lol) But we are back home in Charleston, SC! After our Hawaii trip we went to SOG for a long weekend and they happened to release the big news about the walking path closing so I wanted to interrupt the Hawaii videos to get that one out asap. I thought it would be helpful for those planning their SOG trips bc it’s kind of a hot topic. I hope that explains a bit of the back and forth!

@@jaffa1292 thank you so much! We are working hard on it and I’m glad we are getting positive feedback. I’ve visited Lake Tahoe once back on 2007…so it’s been a while. I was visiting friends in LA area and we took their boat up there for the weekend. It was fun but we didn’t see much other than water lol
