The ad was epic, very enjoyable to watch for sure. Supercheap did a great job. I just wonder at the budget cost for so little screen time for some of the builds in it. You have to send the Rav34 down a Dragstrip! Send it till you bend it ha ha! Cheers.

Great to hear that Lakeside Circuit still exists, 30 years ago it was in my backyard; I’ve moved away from the area and expected it to be under housing these days.

A bunch of years back it had work done to it to raise some safety standards, like that tunnel that they drove through so you can access the inside paddock without having to cross the main straight. They also did a bunch of work on the runoff areas I think. It's still there but while you moved away a heap of people have moved into newer housing estates nearby and surprise surprise, race tracks make noise... so they're SUPER strict on when they can make noise and how much is acceptable.

@@indyspud Personally I think that's ridiculous, council should say no, the race track was there first! It's just like people who buy a house next to a golf course and complain about stray golf balls or people who buy houses next to an airport and complain about noise from planes. I live near Brisbane airport, I bought my house knowing it was near the airport (it was a desirable feature for me) and I don't want the flights being restricted, in my opinion all airports should operate 24x7.

When I was in the area I lived in the old part or Petrie and we could hear the cars on track if the wind was from the right or wrong direction, depending on your interests. Back then (in the early 90s) were enjoyed the V8s, 2 Litre Super Tourers and Truck Racing, great memories and very picturesque.

When I first heard about the RAV4 project I thought you gus got a 1st gen because that comes with a 3SGE, and GTE swap to make it a GT4 Rav4 is pretty common

I'm so happy but so sad you guys were at my local race track it's about 10 mins from me. The first "cruise" laps I did on it I managed to loose it coming out of eastern loop and re gained it before ford corner. And did the classic slow drive down the straight with some new stains on my seat. Hope you had a mad time and yea how good is the weather here 😂

These cars must have a larger radiator installed when turboed, the stock is not enough to deal with the additional heat. Google 'rule 34' for more information.

Did you find out why the wheels have two valve stems? It's an old racing thing where they would use one to inflate the tyre while using a pressure gauge on the other.
