Five qualities you need to look for: 1. Submitted to Holiness - A man led by the Holy spirit, a real relationship with God over several years (Spiritual Maturity) 2. Character and Personality (integrity, job, relationship with family, how do they talk or treat friends and others, are they part of a church, what do they believe, etc.) 3. Genuinely be your bestie and friend. (Can y’all carry an intelligent conversation, do you share simple pleasures of life, is there physical attraction, do you actually like each other?) 4. Someone who knows how to handle pain, problems, loss, persecution. (Does these things lead them to God or to the world?). 5. Submission to Godly Authority and Authority

There's no such thing as a perfect marriage or relationship; they're all unique. What works for Adam may not necessarily work for Peter. Nonetheless, I've learned that there's always a solution to every problem. Five years ago, my wife and I were on the verge of divorce due to challenges in our marriage, but we managed to reconcile. It was a tough time, but we persevered.

The significance of your words is not lost on me, and I genuinely hope my feelings resonate with yours. Despite our current physical distance, I cannot conceive of my life without her; my love for her is deep-rooted. I yearn for her return, and I'm committed to doing whatever it takes to make it happen. We've explored different paths, including therapy, in our journey toward reconciliation

Letting someone you deeply care for go is always difficult, but in my scenario, I was fortunate to have the counsel of a spiritual mentor who preserved the unity of my marriage. Her name is Suzanne Ann Walters.

Yes it's definitely possible that two believers can be unequally yoked... Meaning when you look at spiritual maturity, I run into this problem all the time... You have a lot of believers who go to church but do not have a personal relationship with God... I'm always told it does not take all of that meaning I'm too deep... I could have been married twice but because they were immature I couldn't go along with it it was too much work that needed to be done... I want my Husband and Head ready already.... Meaning ready to pray with me ready to worship with me ready to read the word of God and etc... I know too many women that compromise and they are unhappy or divorced.

Omg Pastor Ken, number 3 was big for me, how a man handles pain, and problems are huge. So many men check out mentally, and it is not a good look. Thank you so much. I'm 58 yrs old, and I have never been married, but the desire is still there. I refuse to give up because love is beautiful, and I still believe God will have me in the right place at the right time. God bless you both.

1. Do i like his personality. Doni enjoy being with him. Are you friends 2. Is he committed to Holiness. Does he have Godly convictions and is he faithful to them. does he feel strongly towards them 3. How does he handle pain and problems. does it send you back to alcohol or vices or God 4. How does he submit to Godly authority. All men need other men. How does he respond to the authority in your life. 5. Does he have a real love for God. A worship life and a prayer life without you. He loves God more than he love you.

Timestamp 30:48 - 32:00 is an ENTIRE WORD! This mentality that "being single is less than" is causing many to make relational decisions that result in regret later. As a person who helps people navigate divorce, you see many similarities on why it gets to that point and one of those are ignoring those red flags. I wish there was more talk about embracing singleness and less talk about it only being tolerable. This was great!

Wow this hit on many levels esp when Ken asked how is he with his mom, dad, sister, and if he says he doesn't follow an organized religion. Well I am dealing with exactly that. His is severely strained (beefed out) with his family and has literally told me he doesn't follow an organized religion. We are not married but have over 14 yrs of history. I am currently in the process of separating from him after a talk I had with him that God told me I was not supposed to be doing this with him. It took him a while to just slightly understand and now he is. We're cordial but that's it. I need/deserve a Kingdom man of God.

+1 on this! I will say not everyone is called to be married. Ken gave a perfect example of single people: Paul, and Jesus himself. Marriage is a beautiful thing and is a blessing. I’d suggest taking a look at 1 Corinthians 7.

@dyanimoriah I'd love to hear this as a message from them. I'm familiar with several scriptures. So hearing a word from them about understanding if you are purposed for marriage would bring so much more understanding. There's something to hearing this God-led, God-centered married couple of 20+ years with children, speak on marriage. Ken & Tabatha don't seem to hold back. They just let the Lord use them. Amen!! I didn't realize how musguided some of my understanding was until I started listening to their podcast. I was leaning away a bit, but I continued listening because the spirit led me to & thank you, God, I listened!!! I just yearn for more wisdom & understanding.

I thank God for His heart towards His people equipping us with the knowledge and information that we need as single people. We need to learn from those who have gone before us, good and bad, so that we could be better. I pray that that high divorce rate would drastically decrease and that Christ would be glorified in our marriages and relationships in Jesus' name. It’s been 9 years of singleness for me (I a a woman). Part of the signlenes season was because I didn’t trust anymore I would find a good guy (honest on what he wants, loyal, wants to be engaged etc). Another part of it was depression season because of Covid. And I am a single mother to I dedicated my time to my son. He is 15 now. Important to say that I went to God only 5 months ago so during all this time I was not guided by God. So during those 9 years, I fell info flesh sin 4 times. Now that I chose God, I commited to God that this will not happen again with his support and that it’s even I will stay single or he will bless me with the husband he’s made for me. I totally agree that being single is not a disease but staying single a huge amount of years is very difficult. Even if we put God first, he also said that it is not good for the man to be alone. And God also made us with this desire to be hugged, to be supported, to have a life partner, to share physical touch and more. Being alone is sometimes very hard, not a shame but just hard if it lasts to much. (Sorry for my English because I am French)
