Just saw the movie and ariana was okay, her acting lacked a bit more emotion or "dramatics" also didn't like how'd she'd switch between her glinda voice and regular voice while singing.

Nick tries to be a Broadway actor he did a lot of plays but I personally didn’t like any character that I’ve seen him doing so far. Especially, Marius from les mis, I think he was not good enough compared to the other actors. However, this is my opinion you can think differently.

I still wonder about gaga only because even under other directors, I never heard that. But I wouldn't be shocked. There IS footage of Jessie J sing some Elphaba somewhere on the web and honestly? It SLAYED. She has the voice type and pop edge tone I prefer hearing in that role. I'd have given a lot to see Amy Adams as Glinda...if this film were done earlier. She reads too old for it now, but I'd have cast her in a heart beat in her Giselle era. I really do think this is a great cast all around, which is half the battle. Even the supporting cast understands their assignments, I cannot wait to see Bowen Yang's natural theatricality in this, I've already had great laughs from what I've seen

I think dove would have been my number one choice and oerfect for the role. However, and i mean ZERO hate, i think her plastic surgeries/transformation (i.e buccal fat removal, etc) hindered this and i think unfortunately will hinder her for big roles like this. Her "new" look isnt made for classics like this. Shes beautiful and talented AF. Its sad she thinks she had to do that but i stand by what i said. The buccal fat removal i think will do this to alot of talents. It feels more like a change for a slefie for instagram but not real world work and business.

i love dove, reneé, and amanda so much, but i believe that the casting for glinda was perfect. dove has a background in musical theater obviously, but it’s hard to imagine her voice reaching the lengths that glinda requires. reneé just doesn’t have that soprano type voice for glinda, and her personality gives off more elphaba vibes anyway. amanda would’ve been lovely as the older glinda, but i personally don’t believe i could see her playing the younger college version of her in this point in her life. (with all love of course). ariana delivered on all of these things, hence why she landed the role of glinda the good. the casting was perfect for what it needed to deliver for such a big franchise

I didn't know all these talented people auditioned! I hope Dove and Amanda will still some how be Glinda one day in a Wicked Project! I could see them killing those roles! Renne Rapp does deserves to be in wicked I just can't see her as a glinda😅

I know haters are going to bark anyways ,but ariana is the perfect person for this role,i mean is her dream since she was 4 yo, she's been waiting for over 29 years for this ,and we can see she loves glinda,elphaba and wicked in general ,she played Dorothy on sam and cat ,she has pictures from when she was like 4 -5 yo dress as elphaba ,etc etc through the years she showed us ,she is the perfect option,and she is one of the greatest vocalist of the world so she have and exceeds what it takes to be glinda ,no shade to other singers and stuff but ,ariana is the best for this role

Just watched Wicked and LOVED it. With that said, Dove Cameron would’ve been THE most perfect Glinda outside of Kristin Chenoweth. She has a natural quirky, bubbly charm that Ariana does not. Vocally, Ariana is superior, which is why she got the gig, I’m sure.
