I just wanted to say I'm 100% behind Ethan on the mole thing. My mom was diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma and it only took TWO WEEKS for it to go from stage 2 to stage 3. Other cancers are slower but melanoma is FAST. I agree with Hila 99% of the time but speaking from experience I have to say that Ethan was right to scare him into going. And just because it wasn't cancerous NOW, does NOT mean it wouldn't be cancerous later. Glad it was removed. Great moves Ethan, keep it up, proud of you!

My dad's mole on the side of his head has gotten bigger and I keep telling to get it checked but he's the type of guy that's scared if he goes to the doctor they'll tell him he's gonna die.. so he said he rather die without waisting money. It's been 3 years now. If it's melanoma he's got 2 years left probably. He's always complaining of pain too but I will not be surprised if my dad dies so we do try to visit him a lot nothings gonna get through to him..

Looking out for someone is only annoying when you are not used to people looking out for you. I can say that from experience. Bobby is a trauma victim and usually it's hard to accept people DO care for us. It's truly confusing for people like this, as it's the norm to be attacked or opposed by loved ones for seemingly no reason. Ethan only means the best & I really believe that. It sucks all around - but if I was Bobby, I'd rather 1 friend tell me (and possibly save my life) rather than have 20 "friends" who don't have any concern for me/my health.

My biopsy came back as pre- cancerous. The dermatologist basically told me had I not come in- it would have become melanoma. My mole was extremely close to turning into melanoma. Y’all were right to scare him into going to the doctor. I was diagnosed with melanoma at the age of 27. The only reason that I am not dead or dying today is because of a PSA about moles I saw in a fucking fashion magazine. I assume he’s half joking, but melanoma is one of the most terrifying cancers to get if they catch it too late and he should be fucking ecstatic that nothing is wrong. As for me, I escaped with a giant chunk of skin cut out but didn’t have to get any immunotherapy (chemo doesn’t work on melanoma). I still live in terror of it coming back. I wish that I would have been inconvenienced by an unnecessary mole removal. Just something to put it in perspective.

Right. My uncle had skin cancer and a heart transplant, and somehow what led to his death managed to be the rejection medication, which is not good for your kidneys, (my mom says when he got his transplant the average survival was 7 years and he lived more than 20 and saw his children grown), but one of the things I remember was that he was a mosaic of excised skin that was red, pink, white, you could see all up his arms where they had to cut the skin off, the rest of the skin the brown color people think means they don't 'need' sunscreen. Constantly going to get somewhere else cut off for many years, which I'm sure was frightening because the cancer is never really 'cured'. It always looked like it hurt to me, and scared me a little because I was a little kid. My little nephew got a sunhat from me as soon as he was old enough to start playing outside (*I let him pick it out) because of him and I don't let him play without it and sunscreen also in high uv, I do the same as much as possible, we usually stay inside between 12 and 2, I have uv shirts even. He's 6 now and can rub on his own sunscreen on his arms.

My Grandpa and uncle passed from stage 4 melanoma a couple of months apart from each other and I was diagnosed in my early 20s with an early stage ( I’ve had two surgeries). The first doctor I went to didn’t find anything but I didn’t feel right because he barely looked at my moles so I went to someone else and I had two melanomas! Now I have to go to my doctor for mole mapping every 3 months… It doesn’t matter how dark you are either! The sun damages ALL skin. Bob Marley died from melanoma. People please don’t be ignorant. Get your skin checked and take pictures of your own moles so you can monitor any changes. Try to find a doctor that has experience diagnosing early stage melanomas & other skin cancers. Advocate for yourself as well because a doctor may not think it’s something but they should still take a biopsy to double check.
