correct me if I'm wrong, but i think that the 30% damage increase is not the same as attack increase. So you're not getting a 30% increase in the attack (vs. defense), but rather on the damage.

Question with the job specific damage bonus - Is it a 30% increase to all damage? If that's the case, surely the pure weapon attack stat isn't totally relevant and what matters is your total attack stat including base when deciding if a weapon is better or not? In other words, isn't the 30% absolutely huge?

It's a 30% boost to your damage output, not your damage stat. So, say you do 600 damage with a swing, you'll do a bonus 180 damage.

From my experience it's better to get a weapon with the 30% bonus even if that weapon gives you less AT. Worth noting that magician based weapons also increase the damage you do with spells if you are a Magician or Alchemist.

But Robot knight is part of the thief and mage tree. While Hero is the Gamebreaking all Tree excluding robot knight. Meaning unless the weapon give 30% to only the robot knight you will always get that 30% bonus.

Im well aware that they probably havent picked up this game in about 5 years, but Robo-Knight is considered magician based since magician is in its prerequesite tree Which means he was getting the 30% damage bonus with the Underworld Staff. He was overpowered in excess with that thing

Just a thought... The weapons say "does more damage when wielded by x". So by that text I would assume that it adds +30% to your damage done in battle, not to the strengths of the weapon itself. In which case the correct kind of weapon would most likely be much more valuable than that 30 points Jon was calculating it at. If that's not the way it works in the game, please do correct me. Keeps bothering me...

@@fireblast8972 Back when Jon was competitive with the game, similar to other instances when Emile and Tim also "delayed" the game by being competitive in ways such as using Darkling to distract the guys and have them preoccupied with grabbing towns to name one way. But then he stopped and stayed stopped. Besides, you're complaining to the past, even when you made that comment long ago. Doing that fixes nothing. In any case, the series is finished, so no more delays of gameplay or whatever.

I never really got the whole "New game +++++++++++++" comments, considering you don't want to get any of the crappy towns and only work on the new continent, in which case though it doesn't reset the big monster... so I never understood the joke. If I had to get all the boss monsters from previous regions or some thing it would make sense, but as is it doesn't really change much since only the big monster is required to progress.

Did the game lock Tim out of Local Assault but not Global Assault just because he's not on an actual continent or because he's not on the overworld map? Yes but it most be Overlord Rico True form the smartest move is to either kill players and remove their best item or get enough dark art to steal castles.using Global assault this late in the game is actually bad for you since once Overlord Rico is defeat his Heck Gate open and to enter you will need a passport and to get the passport you will need to forfeit half or 1/3 of your towns. 0 = free passage if Tim uses global assault he will put himself in a disavantage the EXP is not worth it at this point it pretty much = to shooting your self in the foot at that point in the game. However stealing Castle is always worth it since it always double the highest town value of that continent.

Gear, I thought the Miracle Serum was supposed to be more of a panic button/last resort since it healed every bad status in the game except prank and fully healed. The Z Plague could be cured at Dokapon Castle, so by rushing to Asiana when Chimpies were loose you wouldn't need to worry that much.
