Doki Doki Takeover Plus! Official OST - You and Me【Off Vocal】

The instrumental for the Protagonist's second track, "You and Me"!
This is quite possibly one of my favorite songs I've composed for Doki Doki Takeover, maybe even ever.
The team was heavily inspired by anime openings, and endings, and because this is the last major story song, we wanted to make sure we gave you something truly special.
I want to give the biggest "thank you" to Haruka, who you all may know as @GGalactigal. She was the composer of the original Monika week, and she's also the lead composer of our sister mod, HoloFunk!
Haruka helped out immensely with this song, with mixing/mastering, as well as vocal composition. She was able to truly capture the vibe of each respective Doki, across all versions, an to watch her at work was amazing. You and Me wouldn't exist without Haruka.

Funny you should mention that. I’ve been working on giving it lyrics… but considering all the “routes”, that’s like almost ten minutes of song. Still, I’ve done the Bad End songs. Just gotta do a bit a day.

@@HighPoweredKeyz Over the course of the time I’ve been in the ddlc fandom I’ve come to associate certain things with MC and his character. Like how Sayonara also has dreams of love and literature.

@@thefrubblewarrior4678 I'm assuming that it's because since a lot of the base DDLC tracks utilize the motif from "Your Reality" so much, a lot of the other tracks get overshadowed.

@@HighPoweredKeyz That and Ohayou Sayori and all their variations being behind it somewhat. My Confession, Sayonara, Just Monika, and I Still Love You are decently used among the fanbase through fan songs which leaves Daijoubu, Play With Me, and Dreams of Love and Literature rather left in the dust, so combine that with MC’s lack of popularity and I can see why things turned out the way they did.

Late response, but it's funny you mention that, because early on, Haruka had the idea that if MC didn't pick anyone, he would *try* to finish the song by himself, but keep screwing it up. We never wrote any melodies for it though, but it was funny to think about.
