I attended this show last Friday night. Don complained he had a torn meniscus. Really struggled getting around on stage. This is the 3rd time i saw Dokken in the past 4 years. Dons vocals were probably the best that night in comparison to the previous two times. I guess you can give him credit for still hanging in there but unfortunately his vocals are just gone.

The thing is his vocals was half the band....and lynch was half....Sucks to see him struggle and not hit the notes....everything tuned down is boring and slow...

STOP ripping on Don Dokken. He’s old and been through a lot. If you don’t like it don’t watch it. These guys gave us 80s metal heads a lot of good times. George is a maniac for his age and it’s cool to be able to see them. Don ,in his day ,was freaking awesome. Have some respect.

Saw them twice recently here in Texas. Met Don both times after the show. He has some funny and interesting stories to tell.... George (my guitar hero) on the other hand, bolted right after the shows.

Don has had a really rough few years, first with the cancer and then with a disastrous surgery that has left him semi-disabled. You can see in the way he moves how it has affected him. He has also lost all his upper vocal range. It's sad because people will see him and say he's drunk or worse than Vince Neil, and it's not that. It's not out of laziness, ignorance and alcoholism like some of these other way-past-it singers. But all the same, he should not be performing these songs live in that state. He just cannot get anywhere near what it takes to deliver these songs properly and it is sad to see.

I agree totally. I've seen Dokken about 5 or 6 times since the early 80's and Don was my hero, being a singer-guitar player myself. Back in the day he was amazing!!! He really has had bad things happen in his life that were not his fault. And that really sucks. He is a great songwriter and producer. The part that really bothers me is, the people that buy the tickets are not coming there to see him. They are coming to see George. That's the part that breaks my heart.

I saw them in Rochester in like 2018... and he sounded kinda OK... but man, 5 years later and he sounds absolutely horrible. At first I was like "how'd I miss this one?" and I really didn't miss anything. George Lynch on the other hand is still a beast on the guitar.
