I've got nothing bad to say about any of the members of Dokken. You can gripe about which one sucks or who is better, but at the end of the day it was the four of them together that made the magic.

So true. He brought a huge much needed element to them lyrically & in their sound! If Juan Croutier would have stayed with Dokken .. it would have been a different band!

Juan was never really in the band, he was just hired by Don for the "Breaking the chains" album.

It's incredible to think Don't may have been the third best singer in the band, incredible harmonies. What a luxury to have a bassist who can write songs and lay down vocals and melody lines. I wonder who came up with the melody lines, and why did Jeff record vocals on the demos
@shonbarton35714 жыл бұрын
It was probably made to make sure that it had all the right ingredients in the mix to make another great song before being taken to the band members for approval. Lots of other members in different bands sing on new material to see which members voice brings new life to that song. At least that's what Paul, Gene, Ace & Peter used to do .

Songs like this may have been just for roughing in lyrics into the composition of the track. Don probably was unavailable so they wanted to position the words for feel for the rhythm. Studio rental time costs money if they recording or not recording.
@lionelrosiere20626 ай бұрын

on this level it's hard to compare techniques as they are both pro, alhough Don sang more parts (duhh) and more challenging too. His bad habits of smoking did not help, either.Jeff is the perfect sback-up singer and has the capabilities of a lead singer too, but there's a reason the band is called Dokken.
