Exactly, the intro is so powerful ,then the guitar playing through the verses, so awesome and how Don put the vocal melody on top is brilliant as well, makes you wonder what came first the guitar riff or the vocal Melody I would have loved to been a fly on the wall how those songs came together almost all of the Dokken songs they were all listenable from front-to-back most bands could not say that back in that era, yeah Poison, Ratt,Motley Crue etc they had huge hits but they had a lot of filler songs on their albums, every song was well thought of and well-written on Dokken albums, that is not my opinion that's a damn fact to my musical ear

I agree to the comment. That 80s rock is unmatched even in today’s world. 2021 and still rocking out with 80s bands. I grew up with it best times ever. And I’ve tried other / newer music. And with few exceptions. It always comes back too 80s rock bands that I still wanna crank up and get the best feelings listening too. Man if I had a time machine. I’d go back to this time period. Glad to have been a part of it all.

@@masterblaster3914 He is awesome!! Saw them in 84 opening for Aldo Nova, his guitar tech was playing around and someone yelled "cut loose!!", he cranked it, hit a chord, and turned it down instantly. A guy with a blonde puffy top hair with dark bottom half of his hair cut a hard look from around his amps, when they came out it was obvious this was no average guitar player, and was the guy with the funny hair. He made the band, poor Don always got butt hurt over that.

My fave metal video. It's got it all...smoking girls, fire trucks, metaphor tropes, dalmatians, and George Lynch shooting pool with a guitar.

Great song, love the BVs. Mid-song guitar solo is kinda bunk but the outro solo (starting at 4:08) is awesome.

DOKKEN's 'Back For The Attack' (1987) is a masterpiece in my opinion. George LYNCH is one of the most talented and inspiring rock guitarists. While Don DOKKEN, Mick BROWN and George LYNCH are individually extremely talented musicians, Jeff PILSON was the MVP in DOKKEN. In my opinion, 'Dream Warriors'; 'Cry Of The Gipsy'; 'Night By Night'; 'Kiss Of Death' and 'Mr. Scary' (instrumental) are the standout tracks on 'Back For The Attack' (1987); however, the whole album is excellent.

Absolutely love this band and his voice. My parents don't like them and say his voice is weak I have to disagree he has a very strong voice and the guitar and music is amazing 🤩. Obviously now he's older his voice may be a bit weaker but even now he still has a great voice despite it being deeper and huskier and not being able to hit all the high notes. ❤
