Even if Don can't hit those high notes anymore, he still sounds great.

Mad respect for Jon Levin on guitar (I believe it's him). It's gotta be a wild feeling playing George's parts while George is standing backstage listening. :o

DUDE DON STILL HAS IT GOING ON. I hope he keeps moving in spirit! He nailed it letting the other guys to do the stuff he cant. The low version sounds awesome, its heavy and solid!

I think Don’s Voice is much better noe than for a few years back! Ok, he do not try to hit the high notes! But better to do it “safe“ than fail! Rock On Don!🤟

Bass player is incredible on vocals he is doing Pilson's job which is singing with Don enough to make him passable which he is doing. The band sounds really good and tight. The more Don allows these guys to sing the parts with him the more he can continue putting on decent shows.

God bless Don Dokken for going out there and putting on a show. Period. He loves the fans, and the fans love him! This just in... George Lynch is a freaking WITCH on guitar!!

Still a fantastic singer. Finding new ways to make the song work is the mark of a man who knows a thing or two about vocal control. It's still a beautiful voice. Love it.
@joshlasky81382 жыл бұрын
By not singing the song he made it work? He never was a good singer.
@TomNobody6312 жыл бұрын
@@joshlasky8138 I don't think you'll find many people who agree that Don Dokken was never a good singer, but sure pal, whatever you say.

At least he knows where he is with being in key. I know its weird that its all an octave lower but at least he knows where to be unlike a lot of others

Don surprisingly doesn't sound horrific. Gotta cut him slack. Survived cancer and also had vocal surgery. Hopefully the worst is way behind now

Sorry but Don dokken has never been a great singer, he used falsetto alot and now he literally cannot sing outside of that little fuckin range and doesn't even try to sing the songs correctly and you all are praising him? I mean I love ozzy but he can't sing either anymore. Lots of vocalists have longevity problems but there is a time to hang it up. I seen seven dust a long time ago and lajon was sooooo bad. Like I can't imagine how hard it must be to not be what you used to be. I get that. Buy you have to take care of your voice. It's your instrument.
@joshlasky81382 жыл бұрын
Listen to Dio sing his last concert, he def wasn't the same, but he sounded great considering the circumstances. And I 3ven said that he probably should have hung it up earlier. But like fuck yall heard Vince Neil lately? Lol I hope he never tours again for real. I'm only 32 so I don't wanna hear about me being an old ass or nothing. All these bands were before my time and I'm glad I got to see black sabbath especially but it's the truth

You may not be aware that this issue with his voice was because of a mishap by the surgeon during vocal chord surgery? He was never the best singer but he had a style & sound which made Dokken sound different plus he is the main man responsible for creating the unique Dokken sound which, for some strange reason is wrongly credited to George Lynch. Don made Dokken special and it’s such a shame that George’s ego (& quite possibly a personality disorder as he is on video lying about a band issue when he was not even in the band or in the recording) caused conflict between them & even sadder is his voice being damaged due to a mistake by his surgeon which, Id like if to add, was injured in the first place because he didn’t want to cancel the last few concerts for the fans. He’s a good guy & even though you don’t like his vocal talents I think he is deserved of a more respectful critique. He’s also a very nice guy in real life & has lots of time for the fans.

This is sad. Don’t blame pills and booze. Don just doesn’t have it anymore. Although, pills and booze play a big part, they’re not totally to blame. It hurts watching this and listening to a once, badass singer. Jack Russell has back trouble, takes pills , drinks, and still delivers the goods. Give it up Don.
@Jason-me1bs2 жыл бұрын
It was from a vocal chord operation blunder by the surgeon that cost him his voice.

No. Don does NOT sound great. This is embarrassing for Don and us 80s Dokken Fans! Embarrassing for The Golden Vocalist of the 1980s, Don Dokken! Time to stop ripping off your fans with your horrible concerts and write your autobiography already! For God's sake, write your story. Your band, and you are the most influential 80's Musicians out of Hollywood with integrity!
