I love hearing these stories! Don was misunderstood for so long. He is one of the best of the best from the 1980s. Without him, no one would have known who George Lynch was!!! Im really loving the old stuff that Don has put out. Some of it coming from the early 1970s. WOW

I had no idea Don was sick. So glad to hear that he was able to beat it. My son who is 23 years old is also a huge Dokken fan, probably because his dad and I listened to their music all throughout his childhood. Great band, a bit underrated in my opinion. God bless you Don. Keep rockin' and please come to SWFL soon.

Im willing to bet body parts Don wont ever see my comment even though this is on a "Dokken Offical" page. I was always a fan, since first hearing Breaking the Chains up til the night I am about to talk about. I cant remember the year, however Reb Beach was in the band. I was a the guitarist in the opening act for the opening act. lol. We were a local band. Anyway the venue was the Salisbury Beach Club in Salisbury Beach,Massachusettes. Reb was line checking his rig, warming up alittle and just noddling. The bartender was a cute young female and she yelled out, "She's only 17!". Hearing her and giving her a smile he begins to play the opening to Seventeen. Now it wasnt the bands sound check. No other Member of Dokken joined it. besides the 2 club employees there was 9 people in the room. All members of the nites bands. Don Yells out, " stop playing that shit! who writes your check, her or me?!?!".. Don sucked all the pleasure and good time out of the venue. I was embarrassed for Reb. grown man being scolded like a child in public. Douchbag move. That was the moment I went from a fan of Don Dokken, and Dokken. To fuck that guy and any project he is involved in. What was the harm? It was just unecesary and Don being a bully.. Definitly a spot in example of the saying, "never meet your idols. They will disappoint you everytime". Maybe Don was sick, or just a bad nite. As far as im concerened there is NO justification for that shit ..

I saw VH in 2015 in SLC. Roth didn't sound as good as what I saw on YT in '07/'08. I didn't care, because I was there to see a sober and healthy EVH. I ignored Roth

Well Foreigner didn't start the Imageless band concept at all . Bands like Chicago , Yes , Styx , Journey , Kansas , Blue Oyster Cult , Boston , REO Speed Wagon , Rush , Thin Lizzy , Pink floyd , Bad Company , Triumph , Great White didn't really have that standout Front man . Nobody really knew who the band members of those bands were either . All of the band members for these bands could be all replaced too , and the Fans wouldn't even care . I would disagree with Don Dokken . Steven Pearcy's voice isn't that unique . Mark Slaughter of Slaughter sounds identical to Steven Pearcy . When I first heard " Up All Night , Sleep All Day" by Slaughter I thought it was a new song on a RATT Album .

16:13 music is an Art, if the paint is different and the hand that moves that paint is not the original, then it affects the painting. I love seeing and hearing bands do replication don't get ma wrong, but NOTHINGis like the original correct,? It's not just the music but the presentation, the icons in the ba d mean everything! George Reeves was the best superman hands down! Because he was THE superman! I the creators mind THAT was Superman! Not oy because he portrayed that Icon but because it was a sign of the times! AND what is music ,other than a Emotional Record of THOSE Times!
