Sonos has virtual atmos tech in the beam. Why did they not add that tech to the Era 100? That would have given us a budget rear optiion.

For Atmos Home Theater - do the Era 300's need to be placed behind you or will they work if placed on the sides?

Hi there, Keith! It is recommended to have the soundbar up front with the TV, and the two Era 300s behind, to the left and right of you.

Maybe if you want to pay 1000$ (I'm in Canada so what is that 800$ USD?) each for one's. Look at how expensive the Sony system is with the small speakers it takes a lot of R&D to make brilliant sound some out of something that small.

Thanks for your feedback. The design of Era 300 is a great illustration of Sonos design. First and foremost, we start with the sound. Era 300 features a compact design that’s elegantly cinched like an hourglass, a clean expression of the complex acoustic architecture inside - every angle, proportion, and perforation in Era 300 enhances the direction and dispersion of sound while elevating the design of your home. We are also introducing a new, more approachable UI and balancing acoustics with our responsible design principles, so the product is easy to repair or refurbish, is made with responsible, recycled materials, and uses the least energy possible. We are open to hearing out your feedback and will pass it along to our team.

Basically more than 2000$ system regarding the price to have this experience. I like Sonos products but at this price you can basically buy every other system which could be even better. I have a Bose smart soundbar 900 + Sub and it already cost 1,5-2K but I don't see what is better here for much bigger price (still about dolby atmos).

Thanks for the video! But I have a concern with this Sonos device beam 2. When you turn off the tv, does the Sonos beam 2 also turn off or stay on? Also, when you just playing music from the Sonos app, how do you turn off the bar? Because the only option I have is to pause the sound but the bar is still on. Let me know if you can turn off this sound bar when not in used. Thanks!!

Great question, Regino! The Sonos speakers are designed to go into a low power usage, standby mode when not in use. There are no power buttons or way to turn the speakers off other than removing them from power. As for listening to Sonos Radio, Sonos Radio can only be listened to on Sonos speakers. Hope this helps answer your questions. Let us know if we can help with anything else.

And the one it will be in corner which is the subwoofer hit the wall directly with the twitter? How about the dialogue, it the sound of dialogue is going to be with these speakers Era 300?

Hi Harry. Thanks for letting us know. At this time, the soundbars that support playback of Dolby Atmos via Dolby Digital Plus or Dolby TrueHD are Sonos Arc, Arc SL, and Beam (Gen 2). They must be connected to HDMI ARC or HDMI eARC to play any Dolby Atmos content. You can find more information about playing Atmos audio on Sonos in our Dolby Atmos article here: support.sonos.com/article/listen-to-dolby-atmos-on-sonos

@sonos
@sonos Жыл бұрын
Great question. Here are our suggested placement recommendations for optimal listening with the Era 300. Trueplay tuning will balance the sound for wherever you place Era 300, but for the speaker to project sound most effectively, here are a few guidelines: - Era 300 should be placed indoors and have approximately two ft (.61 m) of overhead clearance for optimal sound quality. Placement in an enclosed space like a bookshelf is not recommended as this could impact dispersion and playback clarity. - If you are mounting Era 300 within 2 ft (.61 m) of a ceiling, place it upside down for the best sound. - When Era 300 is placed next to a wall or on a shelf, leave at least 1" (2.5 cm) clearance in back and 8” (20.32 cm) on each side of the speaker. - When using Era 300 speakers as surrounds, leave at least 8" (20.32 cm) clearance around the sides of each speaker. - Traditional stereo setups often have an ideal place to sit in a room for the best listening experience, but with Era 300 the sound is sent in all directions so you'll experience rich detail no matter where you’re seated. Note: Don’t position Era 300 vertically or at a steep angle or the audio will stop. Hope this is helpful. Let us know if you have additional questions.

Traditionally, recording studios and audiophile listening rooms have been carefully treated to reduce the cacophony of sounds reflected off of walls and ceilings. While the Atmos surround effect might be beneficial for watching movies, I have very little interest in it for music listening.

$900 for a pair of small bookshelf speakers? GTFOH! I’ll be damned if sum of its parts go past $150. I’m waiting till they hit 2nd hand price. Tech companies are out of control with their “ecosystems” and ridiculous margins. You can buy an old school very heavy Acoustic Research AR series speakers for a lot less than that.
@Blazecfc
@Blazecfc Жыл бұрын
That just means they aren't for you. Just like how those heavy acoustic speakers aren't for everyone. Those aren't plug and play like these are. Also R&D is a thing 🤷🏾‍♂️ is it expensive? Sure but so was the arc and the sub is also very expensive

Speakers have not changed other than their composition for decades. It’s the same old setup different/exotic materials. Angled array of speaker setups, the concept of bouncing sound from ceiling and floor have been in existence forever. You can find them in vintage speaker like Bose and AR. Dolby Labs is where the R&D happens. It’s the same license given to all brands and makes who sell indistinguishable quality for less. These guys just shlep all of that together and demand ridiculous margins in return. I am waiting for all the hype to cool down only because I am already in the “ecosystem “ 🙄
