Because Dolby is greedy and locked it behind a big payment and forcing us to buy an expensive receiver, Most PC these days have 6 sound outputs, that's 12 channels, we could easily use it as 7.1.4 which is 4 atmos speakers.

@AlvaroAviationIND i searched a lot and find out that 5.1, 7.1 and surround sound for headphones are actually "fake". There's a software on pc that changes sounds to be heared as they would come from the specific direction around you (and this direction is the detection of the sound in the game, for example.), so only thing that headphones can support is a good frequency of sounds you need in your usage area. If you're gamer, you would prefer to have lower bass and higher high frequency, if you are audiofile, you would need balanced frequencies or balanded with higher bass.

When the individual point testing was going on the bass or 7.(1) , the bass went so deep you could only feel it and not hear it. So I'm guessing it's under 20hz or something like that.

@MizuDev Your headphones aren't actually 7.1, that is completely software. So if you actually have a home theater system you can hear this is clearly in stereo, youtube does not support anything more than stereo.

Sorry I think you have miss represented your video - unless I’m mistaken Dolby Atmos must have ceiling mounted channels- in a 5.1.2 minimal configuration- your video shows a more extensive but basic Dolby set up as 7.1

I'm afraid the 7.1 sound got lost in the transcoding. I don't get 7.1 sound and I got a true 7.1 sound setup at my PC. (SoundBlaster X-Fi with GigaWorks s750 speakers.)

@@JaellesDrums If you have a receiver/player that supports dolby pro logic II or another matrix decoder, it should work. However if you can only playback native 5.1 or 7.1 it will not work as KZbin is only Stereo.

@@Aranimda If your sound card doesn't do any kind of matrix decoding (f.e. Dolby Pro Logic) it will only be able to playback any non 5.1 content in the form it is delivered. For KZbin this means 2.0 Stereo. Depending on your configuration it will only play through the 2 front speakers or play the left channel through all left sided speakers, play the right channel through all right sided speakers and maybe send L+R to the center and send

Forget the other comment, of course it is speaker. Dedicated to LF and LFE. it is a Low Frequency Effects speaker for low frequencies, so you will not likely hear anything in this demo unless you already have one of these connected. Check with Dolby directly, they are very good at helping people.

Well that was effing awesome! Just installed dml speakers made from exciter speakers and polystyrene sheets for surround back and was really worried about how they'd match with my tower fronts. My only problem now is source and how my receiver handles it. Everything sounded great.

It doesn't work. The audio in this video is not properly Dolby Pro Logic matrix encoded because when listening to it on my headphones it just goes from left to center to right and then left again. The same with my surround installation. It doesn't even do 5.1 so there is no surround information in it present. Uploading 7.1 content to KZbin does not fully magically make it IIx/IIz encoded but just downmixes it to stereo which is not the same.

If you have an audio amplifier supporting DOLBY PROLOGIC II, this surround Will move to each speaker. Samsung HT C330 the best flexible feature. DISC, AUX, USB input source will enhanced to 5.1 ch surround. this feature not available for present HT SYSTEM , source by DISC that have 5.1 7.1 audio format, output surround also 5.1 /7.1 . But if the source have stereo 2.0 . So the speaker output only stereo 2.1 or matrix.
