@@LegacyArts. you really think their Boston concert of 2001 was peak U2? cmon. watch Red Rocks 83, or Live Aid 85. hell.... even Rattle & Hum.... Bono was a beast in the 80's

@@coldacre oh dont get me wrong, those concerts were really amazing as well. Red Rock's bono and energy are just off the charts. Rattle and hum's Helter Skelter was an amazing rendition. & even Zoo Station was not that bad. Not the biggest Pop fan. But I think each concert showcased u2's progress to success and also gave us a look at their talent. Trust me. I also love all of them and the do play a special place in my heart, but I'm saying cinematographically and melody-wise they really had a great show and the playlist was also amazing in 2001s. I think slane deff had great titles too, (not played on 2001 Elevation tour) and same can be said for 2005's Chicago vertigo tour. Each one giving something new and innovative from the band, but for me 2001 Elevation's tour will hold a high place always cus their relaunch + new style & catchy songs that resonated with a lot of ppl during that time after the 01 incident in NYC if u catch my drift. Idk there was something about them singing during this time that made it very unique and special.

I had an epiphany that day, off my face on weed and stella artois, they were spectacular, I've seen U2 11 times since that day, I'm by no means a super fan but they are without doubt the best band I've seen outdoors 👍

What makes U2 more unique or succesfull than for example Queen?Queen even sold more albums in their 45 years, considering Freddie died in 1991 so the can not release new material ( like u2 did with Zooropa, Pop! ATYCLB,HTDAAB,NLOTH and SOE) and even them they can not reach that salesnumbers. Off course with the concerts they sold more, wich has also to do with Freddies death. And Unique, I would sau Queen was unique too, far more different styles, they invented the promo videoclip somehow, they used the stadium and lighting effect, even videowalls during the Magic Tour. So I would say, it's hard to compare, just the same with f.e Stones or Pink Floyd.

Queen is more than U2 they are in another level they were more than rock or pop but yes U2 is a great band with their own distinctive style ..bands from that generation were special and had passion on their lyrics .. I have loads of U2 albums , Queen I have all , Beatles a lot , Stones , Zeppelin, Police , heavy bands , sifter bands .. Let's enjoy all this gems which these bands left us ..There is loads of good music to reediscover which we might not even remember. .nowadays music is dead ..ww got justin Biebers and just semi naked chicks on video ..All the music is made with computers

This was an incredible performance. Especially for Bono, you can hear his heartache while performing this dedication to his then ailing father. Bless Bono and his father. I like to think that is now resting in peace. "You can't fight fate" is the absolute truth, kind sir!

Saw them June 27, 1983 with Marshall Crenshaw and the Alarm at the New Haven Coliseum. They opened with this. Half full auditorium but they rocked it!!
