@@seaangel1430 Dollightful found out that, while her intentions were good, the tribe who the w*ndigo legend originates from generally doesn't like people treating it as a horror movie monster or people who aren't from the tribe using it for things. You're not even supposed to say the name of the creature, so making a whole video of making one and saying it constantly and treating it like just another pop movie monster was seen in poor taste. She made the decision on her own to take down the video and retire Wendy out of view.

The banshee holding the poor demons decapitated head at the end had me in tears. 🤣🤣 A remake series would be a cool idea for the old dolls that need re-make overs. Also congrats on 1 million! I gasped so loud at what happened to your succubus that my daughter came running over and also gasped when she saw the broken neck. I was like "that's her newest one too!" and it just broke my heart. Also, I'd like to throw the idea out of an Alolian Eevee since they have made several types of the white Pokemon and the Vulpix is my absolute fav, but there's probably one out there.... So maybe that'll be the next one? I actually didn't know you gifted away your Mulan, that doll so bad ass and yes, a deserved shout out to Momlightful and Dadlightful for their contributions of teaching you how to sew anything and work with metal and circuit boards! 👏👏👏👏 Round of applause for those two! I would LOVE to see you do revised face-ups for some of your oldest dolls. I think it's the ideal way to see a direct comparison for how far you've come as an artist. Also, while I cannot speak Korean, I totally enjoy your Korean-only language vids. It's fun to listen to. I don't think you have a dorky voice! Your tone is very sincere and energetic and happy :) I would love to vote on your concept art but don't really use other social media very much, would you ever consider doing polls on youtube, such as "click on the annotation adjacent to the concept art you like best" sort of thing? I'm not sure if youtube gives creators options to do polls on their channel. So sad to see what happened to your demon girl (I've been calling her Demona, like from Gargoyles in my head haha)! Aww thanks Ryo! You can make little polls in the 'i' corner on YT videos (like on the stock box series) but not much more than that. It's easier for me to do the concept art on other platforms because it's faster and easier to get qucik responses. Maybe I could use the YT community tab more... Haha I played vanilla WoW and a couple expansions, but never got far. I play games very slowly and mostly play to enjoy the artwork. My sister and her husband are big gamers, though, and all the WoW dolls you saw in this video belong to them now. xD

i would love a doll that has high platform shoes and a modern look, kinda the same vibe as Tatsuo, but maybe in an iridescent blue or purple color pallet. maybe purple iridescent and lilac. i’ve seen some really cute platforms on dollskill and i think cute doll sized versions would be absolutely adorable!! you are also so talented and creative that you could figure it out and execute it really well💕

When you said that people have told you that "true ball jointed dolls are made of resin not plastic" I frowned so hard it nearly broke my face. I utterly despise that particular mindset, since it's usually presented in a toxic, elitist, or self-depreciating way within the BJD community. A ball-jointed doll is a ball-jointed doll. Regardless of the material, as long as it has proper ball joints that are fully strung, it is a ball-jointed doll. It could be made of wood, plastic, vinyl, composition, bisque, resin, clay, or whatever material you can think of that can be carved or molded and hollowed out and still be a ball jointed doll. The only reason a doll wouldn't be considered a ball-jointed doll is if its jointing system is completely different. For example, Dollfie Dreams and Obitsu have a plastic doll skeleton inside of the vinyl, Barbies have swivel and hinge joints, and certain other types of dolls have arms and legs that attach to the body via peg joints, thus making them not ball-jointed dolls. Anyway, diatribe aside, your Hujoo Freya and Freyr dolls are in fact ball-jointed dolls. If anyone tells you otherwise, they are idiots.

@@natebrackish8910 It's only up for debate, because there are certain people in our community that like to use it as a means to feel like they're better than other people. After all, resin ball-jointed dolls, though beautiful, are rather expensive, and to the most insecure of BJD hobbyists, the idea that someone may NOT have to pay $500+ for a single doll and still be able to say that they have a ball-jointed doll really chaps their hide. As a result, we end up with this deluge of toxic doll-shaming and spread of misinformation. As a general doll collector, one who collects a variety of different types of dolls, it infuriates me, because it's just senseless toxicity that makes people feel bad about what they own and like and shuts down proper discussion.

For my personal doll collection I'm 100% resin BJDs (largely for texture/tactile reasons tbh) but seeing as we're having this conversation on a video by someone who almost exclusively works on Monster Highs, it's pretty obvious I appreciate and enjoy /all dolls/. It's purely a matter of taste, so it's frustrating to see perfectly fine dolls and associated artists shut out. And, you know, budget choices for people who otherwise couldn't afford a BJD. Resin is plastic too, so people really need to chill.

@@natebrackish8910 Exactly. I appreciate dolls in general and I just love seeing people bring their ideas to life on them. To add to the personal anecdotes here, for my own collection, I have about 10 or so resin BJDs (not counting floating heads), but I also have around 20~ish 18 inch vinyl play dolls, a decent assortment of 1/6 scale play dolls (mostly Barbie and Licca-chan), some 16 inch vinyl fashion dolls, and a slew of non-poseable porcelain dolls. I've found that the amount of money I spend on a doll is irrelevant in regards to how much I'm going to like it. A $5 Barbie from a flea market that's in desperate need of a bath and a new faceup can bring me just as much joy as an $800 centaur doll with a pristine blushing job. On top of that, my actual favorite doll material is vinyl. I love the way that vinyl feels. My favorite vinyl of all time is actually solid, harder types of vinyl like you find on things like the Magic Attic Club dolls, but soft vinyl (like Barbie and Monster High heads and American Girl dolls) is nice too. But I'm in the same boat as you are. I just hate seeing people get shut out for something as dumb and irrelevant as the material their doll is made out of.

Yes indeed ladies! As a lover of composition, the "elitists" have only one point of reference, and it is NOT historical. The composition doll has a much longer history in combination with the bisque porcelains. Manipulation of materials is the key. Those who claim bjd's are only in resin have not researched their subject thoroughly, nor well. As much as they cry "only", the plain historical truth is that porcelains are much, much older...reaching far back into the 1800s. Such elitists are simply ignorant of doll history. As a restorer, I find that adequate research will be much more satisfying. In point of fact, the Ideal toy company made bjds in the 1910s! They were copying porcelains from the late 1800s in a more malleable material long before plastics were even conceived. Plastics were only available as a doll material from the mid 1940s. "Elites"? Pffft, sheer ignorance on their parts. Try the German dolls of the 1800s, those dolls that command prices far exceeding BJDs of today.
