Man, they just don't make AMVs (and anime in general in all honesty) quite like this anymore. The editing done to match many of the different scenes with the song, the unnecessary(?) but pleasing effects added with the music's rhythm, the old, low quality and small aspect ratio(granted, this was uploaded 12 years ago now) makes this video make me feel so damn nostalgic. -All it needed was R A I N B O W F I L T E R- When I started getting into anime, many of the series I watched pre 2011 was because of excellent AMV's like this one. I just finished binge watching Big O, but this just makes me wanna watch it for the first time again. So thanks for that. If we'd still have the old rating system, I'd gladly give this 5 stars

Even after 12 years, this is still such an amazing AMV! If only there was one with Tetsuo and Kaori from Akira.

But what made it so great was that Dorothy seemed to have some feelings for Roger, But her being a robot, did not know exactly how to exhibit them.

Roger was also a robot.

Loved it. Big O has always been one of my favorite animes ever, even if the ending was confusing no matter how many times I saw it. The chemistry between the characters was what brought me back every time. I always found the "Love Triangle" between Roger, Dorathy, and Angel entertaining with how it isn't like other animes. All time favorite character from Big O though had to be Schwarzwald. Madman with a purpose.

You just don't get it, just like people don't get Ghost in the Shell:Innocence. She's a robot inflicted with the memories/soul/essence of the human girl she's based on. Only instead of GitS' robots turning murderous or suicidal out of hating their condition, R. Dorothy Wayneright tries to embrace the admirable portions of humanity. She still experiences humanity in this third person, logical, impersonal perspective but is moved by it anyway.

Eh, I'd've liked subs too, but at least at the time of making this video, there wasn't a translation of the whole song, only the short version version, anywhere and I don't know Japanese. :x I went by the song's title and the little bits and pieces of the translation I could find/understand. I suppose my main objective was to get the clips to match the tempo and music or something... ^^; Thanks for watchin, though. :3

Papersak Done that. A white feather floated down into this world Surely, we seek out beautiful, shining moments because there are limits to our existence When I first began to dream in those shutaway, spiritless days ... ―――― I want to touch you ―――― One day, you, who knew nothing of that sort of existence, said goodbye Why am I only allowed to see you off, without even A way for me to tell you these feelings that have awakened after thousands of years? I loved your suddenly shown looks I was happy at the night you talked The out of service gears were deteriorating To the point where they shunt each other I touched the love you rejected, but it has never been stopped There’s nothing scarier in this world than being forever without you ---The shadows fade into the distance ... !--- ---These are the last moments to call upon--- No way to tell you my heart; let me at least try to tell you! At least these feelings and everything else could be in captivation...! “---!!” Miracles happen in exchange for a single tear that becomes "eternity" A white feather floated down into this world Surely, we seek out beautiful, shining moments because there are limits.... to our existence

@bdragon90 It's terribly sad. Roger is totally in love with Dorothy. Dorothy, being a robot, cannot love him back. And Angel is in love with Roger and bitterly mocks him for loving a robot. Sci-fi is bitter.
@arthurcabral95617 жыл бұрын
Roger was a more advanced robot. Angel is also, and pities Roger for having attachment to a less advanced model. - This is all part of a simulation.

True. Although I do have something of a weakness for big - breasted bimbos...... hehehehehehheh....... Her voice actress Lia Sargent, also did the voice of Judy on the " Ponch & Judy " Bounty - Hunters segment on " Cowboy Bebop ". She said she didn't like the Judy character much. R. Dorothy kind of reminded me of a less cutesy - ootsy version of " Vicky " from the mediocre 80's sitcom " Small Wonder ". & she did kind of make you care about her. Dorothy, that is, not Vicky !!

& I liked the 1940's - 50's film noir aspect of the series. Androids, megadeuses & computers, yet they still use old fashioned rotary - dial telephones.
@arthurcabral95617 жыл бұрын
Because the world they are in is only a simulation. The giant robots are not real. all the buildings, characters, and battles are only details of computer programs.

It's hard to judge an AMV in a language you don't understand. I can only make a vague guess as to whether the lyrics have anything to do with what's on screen. Otherwise, it's just a bunch of random clips with slide animations. The best I can do is relate the beat and music with some of the actions. I'm sure you put a lot of heart and soul into this, but I would have appreciated subtitles.
@knoxvilleguy215 жыл бұрын
& she reminds me - I can't believe I'm saying this - of a more adult version of " Vicky " from the lame - o 80s series " Small Wonder ".

Okay. Actually I rather like the Dorothy character, w / out being an UBER - fan, I just stated that she didn't always seem very agreeable or tactful. Except to people like Roger, Norman, Dastun, etc. " experiences humanity in the third person " - Kind of like Cmdr. Data of ST: TNG. How can androids lose memories like humans ? I could understand a magnetic pulse affecting android memories, but human memory wouldn't be like that, as far as I know. Confusing.

What's with all the love for Dorothy ? She's not super - attractive & can be somewhat unpleasant to anybody not conected with Roger. She's a heroine, but still..... Maybe if she were allowed to develop more social graces over a 3rd season or anime movie.....
