It's a matchup of Dollar General's Clover Valley vs. their name-brand counterparts. Can a blindfolded Matt tell the difference? Can he keep his winning streak alive? Why in the world is beef jerky so expensive?!?

You’d be surprised how many off brands are made by national companies. The bread at Walmart is contracted to different bakers, depending on where you live. In my area it’s made by Arnold and it’s nasty. But if I go an hour East to a Walmart, it’s made by Flowers who makes Sunbeam. I was in a local grocery store before Walmart came to our area, it was an IGA, if anyone remembers them. I tried telling a neighbor, who like me was struggling to make ends meet, that the IGA bread was made by Sunbeam. He refused to believe me. I knew this because I bought it all the time. When he left, the cashier told me I was right, that she had been in the factory where it was made and sometimes all they did was change the bread wrapper. That was almost 30 years ago. Btw, I love your daughter’s sleep mask!

Clover Valley makes our favorite version of cottage cheese out there. Haven't tried most of their other snack foods, but now we might need to.

Luv ya, Matt! But I am disappointed concerning your repeated comments advocating theft at DG. I believe you know why. We will continue to love and watch you!!! Roll Tide Roll!!!!

You got all 5 items at Dollar General for a total of $6.25....the package of Chips-Ahoy alone cost $5.98 at my local store LOL

I have worked at places that have two different packages for one production line. One ,name brand and one generic with no change-over other than package label.

You haven't had beef jerky until you have Old Trapper! Jack Links doesn't do it for me!😂

I don't have a lot of experience with Dollar General, but I can say that Dollar Tree sells a number of knockoffs of snack foods that make MREs look mighty tasty. They sell things that look really delicious until you get it in your mouth---then it's all mmmmm, I wish I had some crunchy dehydrated fruit cocktail right now!!!

A tummy ache from jerky, cheeze its, and cookies all in one sitting? That's like a standard afternoon snack... ...or meal if i don't have a refrigerator.

“God moves in mysterious ways, but so does Dollar General” 😂 I need that on a shirt. Kentucky somehow manages to find new spaces for DGs to pop up in

the boxes cause a tripping hazard for when you get the itch to run. It gives the cashier enough time to get back to the register, if they are even in the store.

I don’t want to squeeze that dog toy they leave up at the register. Just hire two people per shift, DG!

I’m telling you right now I love the Dollar General fudge striped cookies. They are phenomenal. This is the kind of content that I would love to do on a KZbin channel.

FOR NOW. now that you are impressed with the beef jerkey it will never be the same quality again and you will always be chasing that thick perfect slice of beef. each time you buy it hoping for this great jerkey it will be worse and worse. dont you just hate that? i know i sure do. i found some GREAT brands out there and they NEVER last. they ALWAYS change the way they make it after they get ppl buying it.

That's how I feel when I go to Sam's Club. They had some pre-cooked chicken tenders that were the best ones I ever had outside of Dairy Queen. Then, they disappeared from the shelves and were replaced with the uncooked ones and the texture is different and not nearly as good.
