Dollar Store Makeover - Date Night On The Sea Edition

I did a dollar store makeover, basically just tried painting on things from the dollar store. I made some pretty EVIL characters using dollar store items, just some cheap diys that ended up looking pretty chaotic. It’s hard figuring out what to do with things you can find at the dollar store, it wasn’t easy coming up with customizing ideas- it was kinda like a no budget dollar store challenge. I hope you guys like my dollar tree haul and my attempt at customizing things.

The sails in the picture on the baggy didn't touch the mast. One of them was like half an inch away from it. It looks like they touched only the string and the boom. So that's why they didn't fit like you expected them to. I'd have probably done the same thing. It's always easier to see when other people make mistakes! 😊 Overall these came out really cute! I have a few of those trash cans lol. I was obsessed with them when i first sawthem lol. One I use to store my "crusty & only good for glue" paint brushes, one I removed the wheels off of and use to hold paint-rinse water, one for pencils, and one to drop little bits of crafting trash into. I have a few more on a shelf that I use to store little bits & bobs (like pompoms, craft sticks, chapstick hoard, etc). Had to label everything, but its still cute. AND, using the one as a paint-rinse water bucket was a stroke of genius... i havent accidentally drunk my paint water since!
