Hi, the last time I made sensory bottles I was out of glycerin and used Dollar Tree hair gel instead. Worked great, especially the one with transparent lego parts in it..... Awesome!! The pieces are completely suspended whereever they last when you gently shake the bottle. The twins and I were wowed that the next morning the Lego pieces were in the exact same places in the bottle. Hair Gel !!

I like using a glue/water mixture .it keeps the mixture flowing longer. More as a calm down bottle.

@@ThePurpleAlphabet 1/2 cup distilled water ,1/2 cup glitter glue and 1 table spoon glitter. You can use clear glue in place of the glitter glue. We made ones last year with the largest Voss bottle in the bottom half orange glitter glue mixture then little spiders and fill the rest with baby oil.

@@ThePurpleAlphabet the more glue you use the slower the glitter will fall. We have made ones that take 3,5 or 7 minutes for the glitter to settle to the bottle. My grandson loved the Halloween ones. I like the ones made with water and clear glue. Just mix the water and glue very well before you add the glitter.

@@stellatutt4491 You seem to be very passionate about using correct pronouns for people and I love that. I, too want everyone to be happy in their own skin, and be free of judgment from others. When reading the comment/question from @Sue I did not get any kind of a malicious vibe from it at all. It seemed like it was coming from a place of wanting to understand the intended purpose of sensory bottles. Yes, initially the word ‘child’ was used, followed by the word ‘he’, but there is a possibility the choice of wording was because @Sue has a (male) child in their life that may benefit from a sensory bottle. When people are passionate and feel very strongly about something, it is extremely easy to jump to conclusions and leap straight into defense mode. I have been known to do it myself at times, as well. This world needs more understanding, empathy, and a lot more love. More heart, less attack. ♥️

I tried the a water bottle. And used hot glue to seal it, but water still leaks. What am I doing wrong?

Not sure, I haven't used a regular water bottle before. I have used a VOSS water bottle and it didn't leak after I super glued it shut.

I'm thinking its most likely because of using too much hot glue so the plastic melts _too much,_ resulting the bottle can't be properly sealed.
