I made this casserole too. I got some items from Dollar Tree and some from the regular grocery store. I used 4 cheese instant potatoes dotted with butter on top, rotisserie chicken, pioneer turkey gravy, and the stuffing from DT. It was delicious! I love Rebecca 's channel. She's so clever!

I didn’t realize the lady from Dollar Tree Dinners was also on TikTok as I’ve been watching her for almost a year here on KZbin.

I watch Rebecca's channel as well. My only concern with Dollar Tree items is the ingredients in a lot of it. I'm one of those people who is health conscious because of a heart condition I have. I can't eat any processed foods or meats, natural or artificial flavors, no dyes, high fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, breads (other than sour dough bread),MSG, food high in salt and sugars. I do buy canned meats, wild caught salmon and tuna in cans to put on the pantry shelves. Meats need to canned in water or Olive oil. I stay away from the ones canned in salt water/brine. Not many people realize just how bad all these additives are to the foods . Eating too much of these additives will cause heart disease, inflammation, weight gain and general overall health issues down the line.

You can still take the idea of this and adapt it to your own diet. Maybe not shop at Dollar Tree but Walmart instead, or some other discount grocery store. Buy frozen veggies instead of canned veggies, etc.

I find the judgement about the content of Rebecca's channel uncalled for. If you don't like it don't watch don't make it. People that watch have food budgets of less than $100 per month. Some rely on food pantries to supplement them with food as my family does sometimes. We eat what is in that box or nothing. Not everyone can do minimally processed food you should have some compassion. Your judgment is unnecessary and mean. What other people eat is none of your business. Unless you want volunteer to buy their groceries for them. Pretty sure your answer would be no.

I have a black cat named Figment! I made the thanksgiving casserole from DTD (who I’ve followed for a while) but I used leftovers and it was phenomenal. I don’t know if I’d make it exactly the same but I’d make it with turkey from a whole turkey and everything else the same

Dollar tree in Canada does not carry frozen or chilled items. Giant tiger does though.

Figment the dragon in Disney World (Florida) is a HAND PUPPET. I have a picture with the character and the actor who kinda looks like Willy Wonka with a red beard.
@TheCuttingBoard197116 күн бұрын
Yeah- it’s a giant puppet- like Bear from Bear in the Big Blue House was, and Kevin at Animal Kingdom- there’s still a human in the costume though.
@bluedragon197916 күн бұрын
@TheCuttingBoard1971 nope. Figment was not the size of Barney (aka a fully a grown adult in a character costume). It was a 2 foot tall hand puppet carried around by an actor who looked like Willy Wonka with a red beard. I went to Disney World. I have a picture of me standing next to the actor holding Figment a HAND PUPPET that was barely the size of a 10 pound dog. Then again, it could be an actor in a Figment suit but I've never seen one.

@@TheCuttingBoard1971you never mentioned in what form Figment was in the confrontation. Yeah it was just a passing side story in your video, but still. You never mentioned that Figment was a cast member in a full sized purple dragon costume. I wonder how many people know that Figment has been in existence for 42 years. Let alone that it's a Disney created character, a purple dragon or that he's the companion of a human character named Dreamfinder.

She certainly has done a great, creative job. However, I have found her to be a bit "holier than thou" about it. Also, she's definitely not the originator of the concept. She took the idea from people like Clint Svatos and That Lisa Dawn and not only did she not give credit, but she kind of made some digs early on without referencing Lisa. Lisa would do these videos, "Can I eat for $10 a week?" Occasionally in the discussion, she would refer to them as a "challenge," which they are. Rebecca of course had to come along with the whole, "I don't like to use the word 'challenge' for these because this is the reality for some people.'" It just came off as very artificially rehearsed. I think she's very creative with what she does, but she's not the saint people make her out to be. (She also gets quite snarky with people who comment simple things from time to time.)

There are many creators doing this kind of format and content and for a lot longer than Lisa,, including Ardent Michelle (4 years), See Mindy Mom (6 years) and Frugal Fit Mom (8 years). Lisa has been doing her channel for 3 years.
