DOLLAR TREE DIY BRICK WALL (Epic Urban) // renter friendly accent wall // on a budget // 2020

Dollar Tree DIY painted brick wall that looks absolutely real. NO SPECIAL TOOLS NEEDED! Faux urban brick walls are hard to find, but I made my own on a budget from peel n stick tiles I found at the Dollar Tree. This process is so easy, anyone could do it. Great for rental apartments. Can be gently peeled off the walls when you leave, so it won't affect your rental deposit!
Supplies:
- Spray Paint- Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch 2X Ultra Cover Primer Matte (bonds to plastic)
- Self Adhesive Wall Tile (faux wood)- Dollar Tree
- Caulk- Dollar Tree
- Small Craft Brush- Dollar Tree
- Large Paint Brush- Dollar Tree
- Chalk Paint- Walmart (any brand will do)
- (Dap) Premixed Stucco Repair- Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe's, or Ace Hardware
- Paint- Glidden Commercial White

This I think is the best idea for peel and stick and the spray adhesive seems to be the best idea too for those open parts others use foam square tape or glue gun great job.

This looks great! What do you recommend to do with it when you move out and the landlord would like it removed?

Unfortunately, you won't be able to save it or take it with you. It just peels off, but I highly doubt you could get it off in 1 perfect piece. You would have to start all over if you wanted a faux brick wall at your new place. Although, someone in the comments said she was going to do hers on foamboard and mount it, basically like hanging a photo. I'm sure you could take that with you! ❤️❤️❤️

Will any of the stucco or stuff you used the gun for damage the wall?

I waited over night for the spray paint to dry. But putting up the wall only took a couple hours. I went to the West Sacramento, Ca dollar tree. I think it is probably easier to order at their online store because I used 30 of the tiles for a small wall. Thank you for watching, love ❤️❤️❤️

Did you use any other adhesive to make the stickers stay on the wall good and not peel?

No, the sticky back on the tiles worked great on it's own. That room has a semi-gloss paint on the walls. If you are trying this over a high-gloss paint, you might want to do a tester tile first to make sure it has the same hold. Thank you for watching, Sharon ❤️❤️❤️
