Quick hint, if no one has said this yet. Don't tighten the zip ties all the way until you have everything set how you want. Once you're happy with the position of everything then you can tighten, cut and seal the zip ties. Love your ideas!

I just love this idea with what you did with these cooling racks. You just gave me another idea for them using the same concept except placing the inside racks spaced further about. This way I can use it as a tier cooling rack when I make cookies. When I am not using it for cookies, I can hang it on some hooks inside the cupboard door that I have assigned only for all the items I need for baking only. Then use it for storing some of my light weight baking supplies on. I could even take some of those small S - shape hooks you can buy at Dollar Tree to hang on the sides or bottom of the rack for hanging my measuring spoons and measuring cups. There are a lot endless ideas that have popped into my mine.

MommieGo3 _Chronicles I know, right? I thought, “this would be perfect for my colored paper !” I’m glad someone else thinks the same way, but those sharp edges of the plastic cable ties are no joke.

Nice job. I was thinking you could use a box to use to help you form the project. Maybe tape the sides down to the box until you get some zip ties on. I like it!

That is a genius idea! Omg. Thank you! Drying space is a huge problem for me. I think I'll be making several of these. For drying, for sticker collections, ephemera pack collections etc. I am going to need to buy out the entire stock of racks at dollartree lol. Genius concept and can be used for so many collection types. My art room will hugely benefit from this form of organizing. Love it 💕

Awesome idea! Don’t forget to use a lighter to melt the cut edge of the zip tie that way it’s not so sharp and it will not cut you!

This is also great for scrapbooking paper storage. I made something similar a few years ago when I needed some organization for receipts from stores... It was great to use at least until I could afford a receipt app scanner... After that, I started using it for single paper sheets that I occasionally purchase separately as individual sheets.

I really like this project. It may be time consuming, but it is a great organizational tool. You might try, for both added stability and no sharp edges on the zip ties, put a small drop of hot glue. I recently did a wire piece and it had sharp edges and I used the hot glue and it was almost like welding it together! Just a thought... Great project! 😊👍🏻

Love the organizer! I would probably use a liquid weld on it to make it stronger, then take the zip ties off. If you decide to do a liquid weld, make sure to get it the way you want, because once it's cured, the only way to alter it is by using a grinder or filing it.

you could use foam board and contact paper to cover the wires of the shelves so it's easier to slide things in and out. you could also turn it over and use the large open area for additional storage.
