When I made my cupcake stands I bought cake boards and glued them inside the burner covers as reinforcement and it worked great. Just thought I'd share that just in case you wanted to try it. The stands turned out beautiful.

Thank you! You can use E6000 glue along with the hot glue gun to give the stones a more secure hold.

How heavy of a cake were you able to place on each stand? Did you have to spray any kind of protective coating on the pedestals after you painted them? They are stunningly beautiful ❣️

Thank you so much!!☺️ I wouldn’t put anything over a two-three layer cake on it. No, I didn’t spray any protective coating on it, but it would certainly make them last longer. You could use a clear gloss spray.
