You can also take that mop head off of the pole and take the thing apart that's holding the string. It'll come apart with some pliers/screwdriver. Then, the string is in there folded in half, so you won't have to cut all that string!

Sorry to keep commenting, hopefully you take it as I'm trying to help and not as I'm being a pain! If you trim your pom poms into a more round shape after you cut the loops, they just have a more seamless look 😁

Can you PLEASE tell me where you got that yarn that you're using for the bath mat?!?! I just started learning how to do macrame and I LOVE that yarn...
