You should do an hombre affect on the mop strands. That would look cool. You had me giggling when you said it looks like a mop hanging from my ceiling. I think it was a cute idea I like it
@DavidOwenCreates
@DavidOwenCreates 4 жыл бұрын
Hahah 😄 I definitely have got several comments saying I should dip dye the mop fibers and create an ombré effect. I have the mop untwisted and cut to shape and have wooden bead strands all around it at the top. It actually looks different than when I filmed this original idea. I may try the method of dip dye on another project with mop strands.

Great job. That knot, It's called a Larks head. I make a lot of dream catchers and I made one for my son one time and I used cotton twine. You know what he said? Mom did you make that out of a mop. LOL consequently that one was taken apart. I suggest you Chandelier dying half of it even drop the bottom and Brown die

Omg! You’re too cute and funny. What I did was took some food coloring and put it in a spray bottle and sprayed turquoise around the bottom half of the shade. It really turned out cute. I also did two layers using the wreath frame. It gave it a nice layered look but was a bit time consuming.

I want the light fixture to stand out not to blend in with the ceiling so I was thinking black but I think this wood has grown on me it goes with the boho farmhouse design. I eventually wanna replace the light and do a long box with 5 hanging lights and have a long table underneath it so I would have plenty of space to do my arts and crafts on that table and lots of light!!
