Find a cute patch for your sweater burn hole! They have sew on and iron on ones. If you don't want to sew or iron it on you can find permanent, washable fabric glue to glue it on!

I'm a country girl also, but 10 years ago we went to NYC and had the best time. You HAVE to experience NY pie (pizza) its so good and the slice is enormous. Every street it seems has a little shop and its all so yummy. Also, Little Italy is a must. We sat at a restaurant, the tables were outside along the street, so quaint, the Italian food soooo good. It was a wonderful experience. Thank you for putting yourself out here. You are a joy to watch. Ordering your cookbook soon.... cant wait. Hugs.

Hey Momma Bell! I’m not a country girl, but I am a Southern City girl. NYC is very different than Louisiana! My only tip would be very comfortable shoes! We walked A LOT the last time I went! Serendipity has the best hot chocolate in NYC, check them out! Hope y’all have a fun and safe trip!

We had something at my church like that, when i was a kid. We'd reach into a container and they'd have peeled grapes for eyeballs, i also remember softened cauliflower (cooled) was used for brains. There were a few others but we're talking a little over 40 yrs has passed. Lol We bobbed for apples, had way too much candy and just had a blast.

I think if your husband has family here in NYC, they know the ins and outs and what to see and avoid. I have lived in NYC for over 16 years and I still get in awe over bryant park during the Holiday/Christmas time ✨🎄❤️ The ice skating rinks are gonna be magical ❤ I just love strolling the streets, window shopping, looking at all the lights/sights. NYC is a beautiful place in winter ❄️☃️

My daughter bought the whole family some of those clear trays as a joke 2 Thanksgivings back. They are actually GREAT. People fight over who got one then next year so we had to pick up more. They are great.

Sack 5th Ave always has wonderful window displays. Rockefeller center is awesome. The rocketts usually have a Christmas show. FAO Schwartz has fun toys. There are fairly good broadway shows off broadway. Matinees are usually discounted.

I am originally from NY (not the city) but have been to the city many times. You will love it! Just have fun and let your husband's cousin show you all the must see stuff! Make sure you have down time too just enjoy also! You can't do it all so don't try. It will just stress you out! Time square really is the place to be during the Holiday and so much to see. Just walk around and have fun! Don't get suckered in by those running around in costumes offering to take your picture or have pictures done with you!! They want money and will follow you around until you give them some! "No thank you" are key words and just ignore them! Don't be scared...just firm! You will have a great time!

Love from NYC ❤❤❤ tips: I say just explore everything during the day, don’t take pictures with the fake spider mans etc. they will charge u and be really mean to u, try flushing Queens for Asian eats, Astoria Queens for Greek eats, Jamaica queens or Brooklyn ny for …. Jamaican n carribean eats . Brooklyn n manhattan has a lot of new hip small shops that’s open up all over we the city. Authentic Italian and euro restaurants. Please research to what your taste is. In the Bronx they have a great deal of Puerto Rican, Dominican n carribean foods. As far as fun, the kids will love the roof top parties in manhattan. Across the bridge in Jersey there are very good spas . I hopes I helped some. I know it was a lot but a little. You will enjoy the many views!!! Oh And enjoy the parks, ice skating and game rooms

Great Italian and Turkish food in Staten Island. Also, Snug Harbor Cultural Center is lovely. Every borough has great places to eat. Lower East Side has amazing Latino food at Casa Adela’s, and the public garden in LES is beautiful.

I know you can a lot but I don't know if you use mason jars to stores spices or other dry goods but Dollar Tree has the acacia wood lids for the regular mouth mason jars for $1.25. Sweet deal!

NYC is awesome. No where near as intimidating as I thought growing up in Southern California. Don't drive though. Walk of take public transportation. Buses are less confusing than the subway. But the subways are interesting and fast. Restaurants change too often to recommend. Enjoy!

Your Dollartree has so many cute things! I went to mine today and all the Halloween/fall was wiped out. There were more empty shelves than I’ve seen. It did look like they were rearranging and stocking. I was disappointed. I’ll have to go back next weekend.

Please be careful. The city is not what you dream of. Masses of people ,congested roads. We went last year and it was total chaos. You couldn't move. If your doing Rockefeller center you have to buy tickets way in advance or you can't go into it. Please, please be careful and be aware of your surroundings. I do hope though you enjoy the city and the lights and windows especially Macy's and all the major stores do a fabulous job of dressing their windows up for Christmas. I love the city at Christmas time even with all the chaos ❤
